We Must See It Before We Can Believe It!
To paraphrase the old adage: “We must see it before we can believe it”. Visualisation - is simply a technique for creating a mental image of a future event. When we visualize our desired outcome, we begin to “see” the possibility of achieving it. Through visualisation, we catch a glimpse of what is, our “preferred future.” When this happens, we are motivated and prepared to pursue our goal. How Visualization Works. Whether your mind is picturing a lemon, imagining swishing free throws or experiencing flying a plane through a simulator; the brain will process the information you are sending it through the act of visualization and then communicate that through your body's nervous system to your glands, organs and muscles. This is how visualization creates muscle and mind memory that increases confidence and performance, plus why physical bodily reactions come from a mental virtual reality.

Hope Springs Eternal! But Is That Good Enough?
Hope is not a feeling. It is a choice acted upon, built day by day in what we do and how we do it. That doesn't make it self-fulfilling but, wise choices and actions increase the probability of outcomes we want. Hope is empowering when we see it as reason and energy to work towards a better future. However. Hope on its own, without direction and commitment, just becomes a wasted opportunity to become self-aware and productive. Don’t hope that things will change for the better! Make a decision to empower the life that you want!

I love this post @Derek Fraser Crosson !!! I say this all the time (well at least I think it)...hope to me feels like things are outside of my control, aka weak. Choosing, deciding, taking action...to move in the direction of what I want, gives me confidence. Even if it is just baby steps. Hope and try are not two words I use very often (except with my toddler granddaughters.)

@Derek Fraser Crosson that's so true. My point is that I like to use words that I have control, not things outside of me. Means the only way I can fail is if I quit!
