Currently anyone can request to join. I'd like to make people answer a few questions, so that I can see answers to determine whether I let them in or not. Is this possible? If not I'll have to create a solution mixing Google Forms and Skool. Thanks

A mobile web experience makes so much sens in 2021, I prefer that to having to download apps. (like you just add to your home screen the web app and it works like an app!) like Typefully.app is a cool one (twitter without the feed hehe)
This is a group on Skool, about Skool, by people who use Skool. Here's 4 ways to get started: 1. Check out our "Skool 101" course to learn about the product and common use-cases. 2. Use Skool and share your feedback by posting/commenting in the community. 3. Attend our monthly "Skool office hours" livestreams for product updates and Q&A. 4. Want to create your own group on Skool? Click here to do that. Watch the video below for a quick overview of the product. Enjoy đ

Hey team! We just added some new gamification features. The idea is to surface and reward the people who add the most value by helping others. Here's how it works: âą Points â whenever somebody likes your post/comment, you get 1-point. âą Levels â your level will show as a blue dot with a number in it on your avatar and profile. As you get more points, you start to level up. âą Leaderboards â the members who gained the most points in the last 7-days, 30-days, and all-time will show on the leaderboards tab here. âą Gems â group admins can award "gems" to posts/comments that are of exceptional quality. Awarding a gem makes the post/comment stand out so others are more likely to see it and users can use the "Gems" filter to find admin curated highlights from the community. âą Prizes â with these new features you can offer prizes to members that appear in the top 10 to reward top contributors and incentivize the right behavior. This isn't a "feature", but something we've noticed works well in other communities. We recommend offering prizes in your community! Let the games begin!

Rock and roll!
Now you can add a shared calendar to your Skool so your members can see what's happening, when, in their local timezone. Members can add events to their personal calendars with a click. If your community does live Q&A calls or live events, this feature is perfect for you! Watch the video to see how it works. Enjoy!

@Andrew Kirby we need more juice from sensei on the youtubes.

@Nick Guadagnoli 2. You mean you would add the link there? (see pic) in my case I meant like when people click on the google calendar event (in google cal for this instance) it can automatically connect either google meet or zoom to the event. I'm wondering if a student by adding the event to his personal calendar it would make the zoom follow the event? Am I making sense? hahaha. 3. my bad let me dig more!
Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well. As I am currently setting up a cohort-based course with a few students next week, I wanted to see if you know of any "public" Skools you could share in the comments below to give me (and others) some good examples of how they are structured! Thank you in advance!

@Sam Ovens How do you suggest to publish the action items under each module?
Hi team! We just deployed several new features! đ„ (see screenshots attached for directions) 1. Action Items - We've provided a specific place to list action items within your course modules. This should help your students learn by taking actions specific to your course materials! 2. Video timestamps - Now you can add timestamp links to your classroom module descriptions, which will jump to a desired place in your video. This works with YouTube, Vimeo, and Wistia, and is ideal for navigating longer videos. 3. Emojis - We've added an emoji picker for posts, comments, and replies on desktop. Just a simple way to make communicating more fun! Thanks again for all the feedback and suggestions in this skool. We're always glad to hear from you! Cheers, Nick G

100%.
Do you guys have plan or have considered opening up the discoverability of Skools as a big aggregate of courses? Something like Skillshare. I know you seemed to want to focus on the back end of a course business. But I would see an immense value in being able to find courses by different educators on the platform itself. Just curious! Cheers,

@Sid Sahasrabuddhe Yeah I don't know exactly how it could be executed, but If we're all course creators, for the consumers, it could interesting to be able to browse courses from educators. That was my idea. not directly creating a ''before-the-sale'' product but just maybe enabling an easier search of the groups that would want to be found. Keep up the great work on the product.
Hi Team! We just added a daily activity monitor to user profiles. Now you have a birds eye view of a member's community activity over time! Posts, Comments, and Likes all count toward activity, and the squares will highlight darker the more active the user is on a given day. Cool for admins to spot trends, and see if a student has become less active and try to get them back to learning! Fun for students self-awareness, and encourages them to participate regularly! Tell us how you'll use it in the comments below. Feedback is always appreciated!

@Lendon Bracewell Maybe because it ''feels'' like user data? Like As a social media strategist, i analyse my clients data in the back-end by no one really has access to that data.

I know I know I donât see it as being harmful either. I just suppose that maybe people are not used to see that kind of data publicly thatâs all @Lendon Bracewell
It would be nice to have Skool be available in multiple languages including French.

same, would be incredible!
Hi, I love what I'm seeing from Skool. However, I currently have a lifetime deal with the current community software I use. Switching my community is a significant commitment and I want to make sure it's something I can afford. When will we learn more about the Pricing plans of Skool? Will there be a special deal for beta testers? Thanks.

@Nick Guadagnoli inspiring!
@Sam Ovens I don't know if you guys are already working on this but it would be nice to be able to send voice memos in the chat.

The problem with voice memos is that itâs only convenient for the sender. Annoying for the receiver.

@Marc-Andre Seguin You can disagree but it won't change my opinion haha. I was just pointing out what I do not like about it. I don't want to need to sit and listen to 3 2mins voice memo when it could of been a 3 word text.
Is it possible to create email notifications to go out to students when new content is added to the course?

@Nick Guadagnoli As excited as ever.
Hey team! Group admins have told us they'd like to see more "engagement" and "life" in their groups. Previously, we sorted the feed by the newest post. The problem was, more people comment than post, so most of the "engagement" was happening at the comment level, and nobody could see it from the feed. This made the group feel kind of "dead". Now we sort by "recent activity" as the new default. If somebody comments on a post, it brings that post back to the top of the feed. We added some blue text to indicate when the latest comment was, and if you read it, the text changes to gray. This way, the group feels much more "alive" and "engaged". Oh yeah, and if an admin awards a "Gem" to a post/comment, that will bring that post back to the top of the feed â this makes gems more useful. Try out the new sort method in the groups you're in, and let us know what you think?

Love where this product is going!
I launched my free Skool community yesterday. 72 members joined. Part of me wants to use my organic following to explode the group to thousands of members. Part of me worries that group quality decreases as members increase. My gut says I'm focused on the wrong variable. It's about quality of member, not quantity of member. 10 great members or 10,000 great members are both better than 10 bad members or 10,000 bad members. Is that true? Have you found a sweet spot in member amount? Is more better? How do I keep quality of members crazy high? (If this is the wrong community, feel free to delete)

From the communities Iâm in. Thereâs almost always a core group of people 15-20 that are super active. The rest just lurk I guess. Would love to read other people experiences too!
Hit the thumbs up if you feel like a delete message in (DM) should be a solid idea!

Hi one of the most used features from "Tribe", which we used before switching to Skool was having different post options like polls, blogs, discussions and posts. Out of these, the "Poll" option in particular was a great one for getting feedback from students in making improvements, as well as increased engagement. Is this a feature you would consider building into Skool? Thanks đ

This guy been doing. Q&A pre internet wow
Just a thought. It would be great if Skool had a functionality to limit login IPs per user, as this would definably help preventing multiple users sharing the same account. This functionality (Limit login IPs per day) is available for example with Wishlist member plugin for WordPress, which is what we're using at the moment for our platform. (attached)

Me 3.
Hi Guys! Skool is amazing, and a blessing for someone like me who recently made the transition from DFY to DWY. Just a quick question tho, are we allowed to have more than 1 skool account? Reason being is I'm going to be launching a second course soon, where old members can pay to upgrade to the second course - but would still like to keep the old course running (for members that don't want to upgrade). Would that be possible? Thanks!!

You can create more Skools yes!
Skool is amazing. But I just found there are many great threads that bury under other coming information. If users could bookmark a good thread, it could be great. Sorry if this is already an available feature.

i think I read somewhere that the like feature was intended to filter up the good threads đ§”
That actually gives me back something useful! incredible.

I would add read/unread too. Cause most communication are often around topics of the course or the next event. Could be helpful to know if students actually saw that you told them there wonât be a Q&A x week letâs say
Bullet point lists â type "*" then "space" for a bullet point list to appear: - Here's an example. - Then hit "enter" for another bullet point to appear like this. Numbered lists â type "1." then "space" for a numbered list to appear: 1. Here's an example. 2. Then hit "enter" for another number to appear like this. Enjoy!
