I’m trying something different…
Lately, I’ve been catching myself running on autopilot, handling things, pushing through, keeping busy… but not actually feeling okay. Almost like my nervous system is always one step ahead of me. Yesterday I just sat down, closed everything, and actually felt my body for the first time in a while. And wow… There was so much sitting there that I’d been ignoring. What one thing has your body been trying to tell you, but you’ve been brushing off? I feel like a lot of us are in that same space right now.

@Joyce Beckelheimer I completely get that. Overwhelm almost sneaks up on you when you’re just trying to keep things moving. I’m glad you’re here. This community has a really grounding energy, and Breathwork has been one of the few things that actually helps me slow my system down instead of just powering through. Hoping we both find more peace and a little more space to breathe again. You’re not alone in this.
What Is Your Body Telling You Today?
One of the core principles of somatic awareness is learning to listen to the body before trying to “fix” anything. Your body is always communicating—but most of us are trained to ignore these signals until they become overwhelming.

Today, my body’s been telling me to slow down a little. I’ve been pushing hard in business lately, and when I actually paused for a moment, I realized there’s a quiet tension I’ve been ignoring. It’s wild how our body whispers before it starts shouting. Learning to check in even for 30 seconds has been grounding for me.

@Sandy Mikashus Sandy, that makes a lot of sense. Somatic work can create space in the body where pain usually feels tight or ‘stuck.’ Even small, consistent awareness practices can shift how the nervous system responds. It’s amazing to see how much changes when we actually listen to what the body is trying to say.
