A founder told me this last week...
"Been posting for two years. Not one inbound lead." Yeah… because he’s posting into the void. No ICP in his network. What actually works: 1 . Send connection requests daily. Get them in your audience. 2 . Comment on their posts. Reply to their stuff. Get on their radar. 3 . Post stuff they actually care about. Make them think, “oh damn, I need this.” And, very important—your offer. Make it stupid easy to say yes. Example: “I’ll build you a landing page that turns more clicks into customers in 7 days for $2,500.” Super specific. Easy yes. And once they see results? Boom, full project. Reminder: If you want to write posts that actually get leads? Check the writing course in the classroom section of this community!

@Tim Keen Even when I had no experience on LinkedIn, having ICPs in my network got me some meetings. (Much more competitive nowadays s but still gets results with the right strategy)

Break your LinkedIn bad habits
I used to catch myself doom-scrolling LinkedIn multiple times a day. I’d start with messages, then somehow end up deep in someone’s morning routine and hustle tips. BOOM. 30 minutes gone. LinkedIn "is" basically TikTok in a suit. Here’s how I stopped wasting time: LinkedIn Feed Blocker (a free Chrome extension). 🔹 No more mindless scrolling 🔹 You can still message & post 🔹 Toggle it on/off anytime Been using it for a few months. I'm now way more productive, way less distracted. It’s one of those tools I didn’t realize I needed until I tried it. Now I can’t imagine working without it. What’s one free tool you swear by? ps: You’d be amazed how much easier life gets with these free/insanely cheap tools.

@Tim Keen For me Deepseek's deepthink is a total game changer. I'll try the Feed blocker also.

@Dave Miz I just saw you were in ad school in 2000. You look so much younger from the profile pic here.
