Should "Self-Promoting" be allowed? Yes...
The current "no self-promotion" rule is vague, which leaves it open to interpretation. As a result, posts—mine included—often get removed because they’re seen as self-promotion. But let’s be real: everyone acts out of self-interest. At the end of the day, every post promotes something—whether it’s ideas, authority, or personal value. Right now, we’re in a strange situation where people want to promote themselves as much as possible while trying to make it seem like they’re not. It creates confusion, inconsistency, and frustration. On one extreme, if we allow self-promotion, every post becomes a sales pitch. On the other, if we remove everything that could be seen as self-promotion, there would be no posts at all—because in reality, everything is self-promotion to some degree. We need a common ground—a 50/50 balance. Let people promote themselves, but not to the point where it turns into spam. I think if you share actionable insights, solutions, or knowledge that benefit others without asking for something in return, it’s acceptable. P.S to keep it clear my self-interest when make this post, is to stop getting my posts deleted, so I'm biased

Better Search
Right now when you search in a community it’s pretty unorganized. Can we get some filters at the top or a more advanced search? As our communities grow there’s a lot of information that can easily get lost but should be able to come to the surface fast. This would be an amazing implementation for AI.

really good idea, but i can imagine it would take ALOT of resources inorder to make this happen. but i have no doubt the skool team can pull it off if it deems necessary!
PHR ist better then MRR (What are you paying for?)
What are you paying $99/month for? Every day I notice the pressure from many community founders to recoup the $99 that you pay to start a community. Why? Take a look at your expenses this month. I bet you spend money on things that don't bring you any money back. Do you get money back when you... - go to a theme park? - go to a concert? - go bowling with friends? - buy a new camera? No! You get something else: Passion and happiness (emotions). MRR is great - PHR (Passion & Happiness Revenue) is better. Think about it. Maybe that takes some of the pressure off. lg Calvin 🫡

Moderator role improvements
You need people to help moderate your group, approve membership requests, etc. Your hardcore members are the best fit for this role, and they want to help you. The problem was: Making a "Member" a "Moderator" removed them from the leaderboards (members don't want that). And it gave them too much control (group owners don't want that). Now, Moderators can: ✅ Approve/decline membership requests ✅ See and delete reported posts/comments ✅ Change post category, turn comments on/off ✅ Visible on points leaderboards ❌ Remove/ban members, change their roles ❌ Email broadcast posts, pin/unpin posts ❌ See member emails, billing info ❌ Export data ❌ Access locked courses ❌ Change group settings This allows you to make your most hardcore members moderators. They feel special helping you manage your community and you get to share the workload of group ownership. Win/Win. Full breakdown of all roles in the image below. Enjoy 🎉

@Yahya Kazi good question, would love clarity on this^^
If I could change two things about Skool:
1. The landing page. It just doesn't look professional. While I have a lot of work to do on my end to make my landing page better, it's still so bland... you can't customize it, make it attractive in any meaningful way. It just doesn't look professional. 2. No group chat feature. This one kills me. My free Skool has over 600 members who love my content and attend my livestreams, but there's just no way in hell I can make them interact with one another. This in turn make my community less engaged every month, even if the subscribers go up. Almost no one is gonna text another member inside the community one on one. Group chats would change that for good. I really, really love this platform, but I feel these things are crucial for growing my business and my community. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Hey! Curious about no.2 have you tried just sparking discussions inside the community? I think skool centers their engagement around the community tab and seeing if members are interacting and commenting between posts, and members reaching out with each other is sort of a by-product of that.
