I think my keto mojo is off.
I've compared the numbers multiple times (different days) and keto mojo is consistently lagging behind. I'm not a happy keto mojo owner. These numbers are all from the same prick about a second or two apart

@Betsy Devarakonda oh, thanks for this suggestion. I might try it today
Is anyone having consistent gki of 1.0 or below?
Does it really matter if our gki is 1.0 or below versus 2.0 or below? Does the outcome we are seeking (suppression of tumor growth?) ultimately depend on whether we have remained steadily at 1.0 or below versus 2.0 or below?

Optimum ketones per Thomas Seyfried?
Does he say that we should aim for above a certain number? If yes, what is the number he proposes? I understand 6.2 is excellent, no complaints from me lol. Still, I am curious what Seyfried proposes.

Coffee: 1, Me: 0. Help!
I've tried to quit, but caffeine withdrawal is real. Headaches, fatigue, and a serious craving for a coffee hug 🙂 Serious question: Has anyone successfully switched morning coffee to a non-plant-based alternative? Share your secrets please…, thanks!

I wonder if coffee enema would be a useful temporary way to get your caffeine fix. The Gerson protocol includes coffee up the butt everyday a few times a day. When I was on the Gerson protocol I could not tolerate that much coffee, but I was able to tolerate one coffee (up my butt) in the morning. They've got a special way to prepare it, and very cautious about which coffee is used internally

@Fitch T congrats on bringing it from 2 to 1. Is 3/4 of a cup next? Then 1/2?
What are your biggest problems with Ketosis / having a low GKI?
... apart from missing carbs in bread, pasta, sweets and such? :-p Maybe we have to focus on something specific, with your experiences in mind. These are quite varied answers, yo probably multiple ones apply to you. If so, please write a quick comment.

there's a whole bunch of variables/factors that go into getting optimal glucose/ketone numbers. It's been a slow and gradual process for me. I could not implement all of the puzzle pieces from the get-go; I needed to focus on one puzzle piece at a time. Some of the puzzle pieces I worked with: 1. getting a food scale 2. begin to weigh all foods before I put into my body 3. measuring glucose/ketones every 15 minutes after eating, to see how my body is responding to the food. 4. adjusting food amounts and calories amounts according to #3 above. Lots of trial and error with this one. 5. no food after 6 pm for me. I messed up many times. 6. eliminating foods that contain carbs (for me, at this time, carbs throw my numbers off; this can change sometime in the future). Lots of trial and error with this one. It's taken me about two months to get to zero carbs finally. And I intend to re-incorporate some carbs with a careful eye on the effects on my glucose/ketones, with the aim to keep GKI below 1.0 7. listening to seyfried's youtube interviews every week/day, helps me to learn the concepts/theories, etc. 8. I focused on the press part of the protocol until now. 9. now after getting the press down pat, I feel ready for pulse. Now i've got to learn all about the pulsing components/options. Until now the pulse info wasn't able to be absorbed in my brain lol, cuz it was tmi. But now that i've got the press down pat I feel receptive to pulse. Hit me up with clear instructions (and also options for those with limited to no financial resources; cuz a fairy might show up and offer to sponsor my pulse...though until the fairy shows up I am interested in low to no cost options) for pulse if you feel so inclined :-)

@Josh Pitman indeed, I eat spoonsful of goat ghee or butter periodically throughout the day, to keep glucose/ketone numbers in good range
