🚀 LIVE WORKSHOP: Plan Your 2026 Workshop (Dec 17th)
Hey everyone! It's that time of year. You're looking back at 2025, and maybe you're feeling one of two things: 1. "Wow, that was a whirlwind. I'm exhausted, and I have no idea how to make next year less chaotic." 2. "I hit some goals, but I feel like I was just winging it. I need a REAL plan for 2026." If either of those sounds familiar, I've created something just for you. Introducing: The Plan Your 2026 Workshop This is a LIVE, 90-minute workshop where we will plan for 2026 with intention. This isn't about setting vague goals and hoping for the best. This is a hands-on, reflection-based planning experience designed to give you clarity and a plan for your most profitable and fulfilling year yet. By the end of this workshop, you will have: ✓ Clarity on what to let go of and what to double down on. ✓ Your 2026 Identity & Theme: A guiding principle for the year. ✓ Your "This Time Next Year" Vision: A compelling picture of your future across YOU, BUSINESS, and LIFESTYLE. ✓ Specific Revenue & Session Goals: The numbers you're actually working toward. ✓ Your Big Rocks Map: The non-negotiable anchors for your year (professional & personal). ✓ Your Q1 2026 Focus: Your top 3 priorities to start the year with momentum. The Details: - Date: Tuesday, December 17, 2025 - Time: 9:00 AM Sydney time - Where: Live on Zoom. Details in the Calendar tab - Investment: FREE for the Pet Photographers Collective members Can't make it live? The replay will be available for US$27, or you can get it for free when you join the Premium Membership. This is for you if you're tired of reactive, last-minute marketing and you're ready to plan your 2026 with intention. This is NOT for you if you're looking for a magic bullet or you're not willing to do the work. Why I'm Doing This I see too many talented pet photographers get stuck in a cycle of overwhelm and inconsistent bookings because they don't have a plan. This workshop is designed to break that cycle.

Would have loved to attend but I'll struggle with the kids on school holidays then! I'm feeling semi-organised for 2026 thanks to our 1:1 :)

Hi everyone! I'm a family and pet photographer from Melbourne's Dandenong Ranges. What makes my heart sing is photographing families and people with their beloved pets. A lot of my sessions include a furry friend, most commonly dogs, which just make me happy! I'm a little obsessed with sunset light and most of my sessions are outdoors at golden hour, but I also have a studio and do love these sessions too. I've been running my business for about 10 years but it's alongside being a Mum and the juggle can be really hard. I want more work/life balance and need to learn to switch off. I think this will also come with putting a great marketing and client communication system in place, which I know Ina is a master at! I mostly struggle with converting leads and feel this also plays heavily on my mental health. A positive community like this is a great place to be! It can be a lonely job and I look forward to being here. (Photo of my kids & fur baby)

I'm looking to switch labs and am looking at Seldex, Global Image and Atkins. I'm probably going to choose different labs for different reasons. I'd love to hear from others who use any of these labs and their thoughts. I do have an Artisan Canvas with an ornate frame from Seldex, which I love, and also a torn-edge framed fine art piece (pictured below). Canvas is probably the finish I'm most interested in hearing about - boxed canvas - if others have them from any of these three labs.

I use Global for all my framed prints and all are acrylic. I love the safety aspect of acrylic. I've had a few issues with some of my orders, but always fixed and great customer service from Mark. I used to use Brilliant Prints but colours weren't consistent and a lot got damaged in transit (they always fixed but just annoying!). I do love the canvas from Brilliant Prints way more than Global's though. I ordered one through Global and it's a very matt finish and colours much warmer than original image, so decided to stick with BP. Seldex I use for albums, they are stunning. I haven't tried any frames or canvas through them. Metals I love the look of but I can't find anywhere that matches my colour tones, they always look strange when prints of people. The shadows seem to get crushed and overall the print doesn't look sharp. That's my experience with BPro's so decided not to offer metals. I did test prints with Atkins and was not happy. Colours and contrast all off. I use Digital Works for my lustre prints and love them. I love their fine art prints too but they don't offer a very big range of frames and since pricing is about the same as Global, I just stick with Global for frames (which is what I sell most of).
What are your wins this week? 🏆
Share your wins this week, big or small!! My wins: - I’ve created a 12 months mastermind and I’m so excited to have @Jo Lyons and @Yunet Solorzano signed up this week! It’s going to be an amazing year working with you both supporting you with your marketing! - Had a great $4k sale this week from a client who came in from one of my pet of the season giveaways. I’ve got a few more ordering appointments this weekend and I know at least 2 are wanting to purchase a portrait box or album and a wall collection. Both came from event giveaways (free session plus credit or print). Share yours below! I’d love to cheer you on!

I had a $5k sale today - the first in about a year! This was even a bigger deal because they were one of my first clients, photographed 9 years ago when i charged very little. They have been following me through newsletters and socials since. I was quite nervous that they would react to my current pricing, but they just took it in their stride. I tried really hard not to let my inner voice get to me and be confident with the sale. Huge win for me on both a mindset and business side!
Posting a polarising hot take/opinion on socials
So if you've been on my instagram, I recently mentioned I am currently doing a 7 day social media challenge and every day there's a prompt of what to post. Today's one was quite scary to post. The prompt was to post a polarising view/hot take and to brainstorm ideas I asked chat GPT to brainstorm ideas that are a hot take, borderline offensive and ‘kinda get me cancelled’. Funnily enough my Chat GPT said "We can absolutely create borderline offensive, “kinda get me cancelled,” hot-take level statements…BUT they still need to stay safe, ethical, non-harmful, and aligned with your brand (which is warm, emotionally intelligent, and never cruel)." So basically it told me that while we can create these polarising posts, it recommended that i still stay safe and on brand lol 😅. It knows me well!! Anyway it came up with several ideas and I had to keep asking it to brainstorm more ideas and I ended up posting one today. You can check it out here. So my question is, have you done a polarising/hot take posts? Would this be something you would be brave enough to do?
