I was first introduced to this group by another member two weeks ago. Since then Dr. Weinrich has thrown me a lifeline during my proximal hamstring surgery recovery. I wish I had known of its existence immediately after my injury , as my knowledge was extremely limited. As you all know this injury and recovery can be very isolating . I am now a little over three months post surgery. I can say that the last two weeks, with the access and utilization of all aspects of this program, I noticed my anxiety has lessened, and my understanding of this injury and recovery has increased. Through my conversations with Dr. Weinrich, her expertise and the guidance of her program I have recognized my daily/weekly gains both mentally and physically (no matter how small). I try to emphasize those as opposed to my setbacks. I also was reminded it is so important to “give my body a voice”. Even when my mind is telling me one thing I need to take the time each morning to listen to my body. I have taken that to heart and it really helps me to get through the daily battles as well as the daily wins. If anyone needs to talk, feel free to reach out, no matter where you are in your journey.

Hey everyone and welcome, This space is for athletes & movers in transition, whether you’re coming back from injury, shifting how you train, or simply curious to explore new ways of moving and growing. Here’s what you can expect: - A community where we exchange, experiment, and learn together - Clear frameworks for recovery (starting with a hamstring recovery program) - Practical training + prevention ideas you can apply right away - Input and Exchange about tools for body awareness, confidence, and resilience ✨ To kick things off, I’d love to hear from you: What sport background are you from? What do you wish from this community + drop a simple photo of your current sports environment. It can look something like this: I am ________, my sports background is __________. From this community I wish to _____________! Here is a recent photo of me in my sports/rehab/workplace :) Let’s build a space that’s both evidence-based + deeply human. Own your transitions. Your body is your ally. Loopi

Hi there, my name is MARY. I live in Colorado. I am married and have a son and a daughter. . I enjoy paddle boarding, hiking, Pickleball, recreational skiing and will try just about anything. I injured myself water skiing in Maine (.Which I have done since I was 12 and will never do again😂😂.). That was on July 26. I completely tore my hamstring in tendon as well as trauma to all supporting muscles. I had surgery on August 26 and appreciate each and every improvement although it is an up-and-down journey. So happy there is a community out there! Thank you, Luise

@Anna Makarova- Ogunbanjo , just curious if you had your surgery on 22 October. My husband took two months of FMLA to help me and my surgery was August 26. Just take it one day at a time!
