What are you up to this week-end? I like to spend time with my kiddos but weekend is also an excellent time for self-improvement. Dedicating even a few hours to developing new skills or deepening existing ones can make a significant difference in your personal and professional life. Whether it’s learning a new language, improving your technical skills, or exploring a creative passion, every little bit adds up. For me this week-end it will be reading and painting. I may even add a little puzzling session if I have time! How are you planning to grow this weekend? Share your learning goals and maybe find a buddy to join you on your journey to improvement!

Maintaining focus in today’s distraction-filled world can be a real challenge, but there are effective strategies to help you concentrate and enhance your productivity without relying on digital tools. 1- Establish physical boundaries. If possible, create a designated workspace that is strictly for work. This not only helps in mentally associating this space with productivity but also signals to others that you are in 'work mode.' 2- Implement structured break times to significantly boost your focus. Techniques like the Pomodoro Technique, which involves working in concentrated bursts followed by short breaks, help prevent fatigue and keep your mind alert. Additionally, scheduling specific times for checking emails and social media—such as mid-morning, after lunch, and late afternoon—ensures that you aren’t constantly interrupting your workflow to respond to every email or text. 3- Noise control can greatly improve your ability to concentrate, especially in noisy environments. If external noise distracts you, try using noise-canceling headphones or even simpler solutions like earplugs to create a more controlled auditory environment conducive to focus.
