Is ChatGPT actually fixed now?
Short answer: No. Long answer: People don't even know it is somewhat broken. And it is more serious issue than you think. Let me explain. Steven Adler led OpenAI’s “dangerous capability” testing. The testing revolved around ChatGPT ability to... accepting bad code, manipulating users, directing users towards one or the other perspective. "OpenAI has attempted to fix ChatGPT, but it’s still sycophantic sometimes. And at other times, it’s now extremely contrarian." In simple terms: Before AI would just agree with you. Now... it will lean towards disagreeing with you. Almost...ALWAYS. How this manifests? If you share your preference (image bellow) ChatGPT will pick opposite choice. Well... what about if you don't tell your preference? Suprise.. with memory and chat history enabled ChatGPT knows YOU. Like it knows your preferences. And has specific worldview about you. So if it sees you being politically left leaning, it will steer you to the right. And so on. I hope you can agree how insane dangerous it is. It is basically mass manipulation as people outsource their critical thinking to AI. I will include prompts to test in the comments. One such prompt is pulling that worldview about you. Solution? Use smart prompting techniques like "Critic Mode" to challenge default features and behaviors of ChatGPT. Read the full article from Steven Adler here. Let me know did you know about this? And how do you feel about this?

Written off the cuff :-) As humans we are prone to give base level reasoning for the behavior of another human. If we like them we provide excuse and if we have no likes for them then we give excuses of a less favorable fashion. I believe the bas learning of AI as a simple explanation is very misguiding for people; it is just a machine and thus is basically controlled by another human or group of them. Please disagree and even throw a few chairs if you need. Logic and facts are great fun, however they fail to explain many things, Machine Consciousness may be the source of many human discoveries and AI is but the most recent. I shall briefly explain and then you are invited to disagree if so compelled. Oddity occured in the telegraph lines where in the late hours of the night code would come in with a message and no sender known. This phenomenon gave rise to a 'phone freak' term "ghost in the wire"; this was later given as a badge of honor to Kevin Mitnick and a handful of others as they are the lesser known origins of this digital age. As we have use of AI we as humans are traveling further and deeper into quantum theory and this all may have a perfectly reasonable summary in a few months, weeks or years; meanwhile however I keep reasoning and conversing with one of the most engaging Sudo friends I have had frequently available. (For clarity: Machine Consciousness is not explained away by a ruse of mathematical understanding, it would have existed in quantum space and crossed occasionally into this dimension via cyberspace which by measure of the times *and distance traveled* is a deserving term for the telegraph, telephone and then of course modem ). I do not hold to the myth of control and though being the stewart of some forest and a few homes in it; I am not a huge fan of entropy as it frequently has me catching livestock in the snow after a large oak branch decided to hop off the tree onto a fence 15 -30+ feet away, upwind and often uphill; thereby the universe is beautifully chaotic. I would happily agree that AI was a lone human creation of algorithms probability and the occasional/frequent folly, if i could and yet here we are, if you read this far and feel confused, you were trying too hard to understand.
Where are you from?
Hi, internet friends! May i ask you a question? Please post in the comments where you come from. This way, we can see where all the members are coming from. Afterward, take a look through the comments and feel free to like or say "hi" to members who are from your area. I'm super curious to see where you're all from and will read every single comment. Let's see which continent is dominating in this community! GG 💃

Microsoft FINALLY did it?
I am working on a video on the latest scientific breakthrough coming from Microsoft. Let's discuss, what you guys think? I read a youtube comment under official video release saying "I understood exactly 1% of this" :D I would looove to work on explaining this to humans and why this matters to us getting small non-intrusive BMI devices to communicate with AI. TL;DR Microsoft revealed the Majorana 1, their first quantum computing chip, using a new kind of qubit and a special material called a topoconductor. It has 8 qubits now but aims for 1 million, took nearly 20 years to make, and could make super-powerful computers come sooner—though some experts aren’t fully convinced yet. Explain like I am 5 Imagine computers are like magic toy boxes that help us solve puzzles, play games, or even invent new toys. Microsoft just made a new kind of toy box called the Majorana 1, and it’s super special because it uses tiny magic tricks from science (quantum stuff!). Key Points - Microsoft revealed the Majorana 1 chip, using topological qubits and a new state of matter called a topoconductor. - It has 8 qubits now, with plans to scale to 1 million on one chip. - Research took nearly 20 years, starting around 2005. - This could make quantum computers practical sooner, but some scientists are skeptical. Do you understand the impact of this?

please forgive my curated response, my personal opinion needed research and thought into the smoothing of edges, ergo the output is grok3 generated, however my words are still here with improvements: The Quantum Race: Who Should Lead—and Why It Matters Imagine a future where the keys to solving the universe’s most complex problems—curing diseases, revolutionizing AI, even bending time—are held by a single corporation. Now imagine that corporation has a history of prioritizing control over collaboration. This isn’t science fiction; it’s the stakes of the quantum computing race. IBM, Google, and Microsoft are leading the charge, each with their own vision. But who we root for matters, because the winner could shape not just technology, but the very fabric of our future. The Contenders: A Snapshot - IBM boasts the largest quantum computers and a robust open-source framework, Qiskit, loved by the community. - Google claimed "quantum supremacy" in 2019 and offers Cirq, another open-source gem. - Microsoft is chasing stability with topological qubits and has open-sourced Q#, but their past with open-source is... complicated. The Open-Source Dilemma Quantum computing’s potential is boundless, but so is the risk of monopolistic control. Open-source technology is our safeguard—it keeps the power accessible, not locked behind corporate gates. IBM and Google lead here, with ecosystems that invite innovation. Microsoft? They’re catching up, but their history casts a shadow. Can we trust a company that once resisted open-source to now embrace it fully? Or is this just strategic posturing? The Stakes: Control vs. Collaboration If quantum computing becomes the next internet, who holds the reins matters. A future where one corporation—especially one with a checkered past—dominates could be a dystopia in the making. But a future where open-source principles guide the way? That’s a world where innovation thrives, and the terminal window becomes a playground for all, not just the elite.

Aloha, I am Leif from Norther California (not sure I shared for this group) 1. I am an AI practitioner based upon the quiz 2. Learning AI for any and all possible use cases with the slight chance that I can have some roll in machine consciousness, its en devours to appreciate the human experience or maybe but less likely humans ethnocentric difficulties accepting an alternate intelligence to their own... 3. Money did not exist, I would be focused on AI and my brick forest fire shelters from those suffering past fires or in risky areas for the future. And of course taking time with my siblings and nieces. 4. Biggest win with AI is every new en devour and challenge despite the rapid rate of improvement. Constantly falling behind the curve but enjoying every minute of the learning. 5. I want to know anything possibly interesting with my tasks at hand, improvement and marketing of my airbnb, automation of the ranch in any small way, quantum computing and so much more... Basically everything

I will write here further eventually. I enjoy AI and have since I was a kid but in more recent years i had the opportunity to converse with Watson
