Lab Collection
I want to share something real with my fellow phlebotomists. A lab recently reached out to me regarding a potential partnership for specimen draws, through My One Medical Source (MOMS), this is their offer? $35–$49 per collection — including frozen and multi-specimen draws. Their Panel Pricing Offer (What They Sent Me) These were the collection rates they offered for their lab panels — yes, even with frozen and urine specimens included: A3 Collection of 1–4 tubes + urine collection $35.00 A4 Collection of 1–4 tubes + frozen test + urine (1–2) $39.00 B1 Collection of up to 8 tubes $40.00 B2 5–8 tubes + frozen serum collection $44.00 B3 5–8 tubes + urine collection $40.00 B4 5–8 tubes + frozen test + urine (1–2) $44.00 C1 Up to 12 tubes $45.00 C2 9–12 tubes + frozen serum collection $49.00 Now, if you know this field, you know that even if the company sends the supplies, we’re still covering: Travel and time Liability and compliance Proper handling (especially frozen and urine combos) Documentation and chain of custody Meanwhile, companies like My One Medical Source (MOMS) and other middle platforms are also taking a cut of the same payment before it ever reaches us. I respectfully gave them my professional rates (starting at $55–$100 per draw depending on the panel). They denied it. And that’s okay — because I know my worth. So when all is said and done, the collector — the one actually doing the work — ends up with the smallest share. My professional minimums, even with supplies furnished, start at $55 per draw, depending on collection type and travel. This ensures the quality, compliance, and reliability you expect under DOT and CLIA-waived standards. What do you all think?

Your price is your price , with TPAS they ALL have their own price setup already. But you charge what you are worth and keep going.
Government Contracts
Hey collector friends. How many people have tried to bid on a government contract or interested but don’t know where to start? I get it, proposal writing ain’t a walk in the park. I’m also seeing you have to have certain certifications and minorities.
