The Story Behind This Quote
I originally wrote this quote for my clients, long before my business looked the way it does now. I wrote it because I understand. I’ve needed help too, in different seasons and different areas of my life. And the truth is, I still do. As I’ve grown, the support I’ve needed has evolved. The mentor who was perfect for me ten years ago wouldn’t be the mentor I choose today, and that’s a good sign, it means I’ve upgraded. Just like you wouldn’t expect your prep teacher to guide you through Year 12, we outgrow the level of guidance we once had. And sometimes, even when someone has been saying the same message for years, we only finally “get it” when we hear it said in a different way. That’s why this quote still matters to me. Because asking for help isn’t weakness, it’s human. Society used to shame us into thinking otherwise. Thankfully, we’re moving beyond that. Olympians have coaches, executives have mentors, and the rest of us need counsellors, guides and supporters who can help us navigate the stuff that weighs us down or muddles our minds. I wrote this because I know exactly how it feels to be the strong one who suddenly can’t carry everything alone. And I know the relief that comes when you finally allow someone to walk beside you. This is why I do the work I do. Not from a pedestal, but from experience. I’ve walked this path. I’ve needed support. I still need support. And this quote was my way of saying to my clients, you’re normal, you’re not alone, and it’s okay to ask for help. If you’re ready for the next level of support, you know where to find me. 🌱 Message me You don’t have to do it alone. You never did.

What’s one thing you held onto longer than you should have?
We all do it — hold on to something because we want it to work, even when deep down we know it’s not right. It could be a job, a relationship, a diet, or even clutter in your home. What comes to mind for you? What have you let go of that you need to celebrate and be recognised for?

Our home. With the kids gone, it's alot to manage
Do you find forgiveness comes easy, or does it take work?
Some people say forgiveness is instant — you decide and it’s done. Others see it as a process that unfolds over time. Maybe it’s forgiving a family member, a past partner, or even yourself. How does forgiveness look for you?

🌟 Welcome to The Change Makers! 🌟
You’ve just joined a community of people who are ready to do things differently. Our motto is simple:Rewrite the rules. Redesign your life. This is a space to break old patterns, share your journey, and support one another as we step boldly into freedom and create lives we truly love. ✨ To kick things off, I’d love for you to introduce yourself: - Where are you from and what do you love about it? - What’s one area of your life that you’d like support with right now? - What would you most like to get out of being in this group? Don’t be shy — this is your space. The more you share, the more you’ll get out of it. We grow faster together. 💫 I’m so glad you’re here — let’s start making some real change! 🙌 — Lorene

Well Hello!!! I'm Lara and I go between FL and RI (USA) Lots of changes in our lives right now. Mostly good but it's clearly a time of opportunity to look at what's working, what's not, what has been on autopilot as a mom. Kids are mostly grown and flown so a bit of soul searching for what's next.

💡 Thinking about starting a Skool community of your own?
Skool makes it simple to bring people together — everything from posts, courses, and events, all in one place. It’s easy to use, fun for members, and keeps the focus on connection and learning. The best part? You can start with a 14-day free trial, then choose either the Hobby plan ($9/month) or the Pro plan ($99/month). If you’d like to give it a go, here’s my referral link:👉https://www.skool.com/signup?ref=4d349337c57a4956baef9ffb2f86e7c1 If you want to know anything, just ask and I am happy to share my experiences.
