Hmmm… it looks like they started out curious about a mutual connection, but then shifted straight into their own goal without asking anything about you or your business. It seems the questions should’ve come first, they should've waited for your answers, and then shown genuine interest before attempting a pitch. They also started “educating” you without checking whether you even needed that, and kept asking questions even after you said you already have a community. It really seems like they didn’t do enough research...were they trying to be your sales coach? It seems like he was working from an outline or script or something and he never asked the three questions-lol. I don’t know a lot about sales, but based on this approach, you probably could’ve turned the tables and pitched coaching them 'cause… 👀 Maybe they're just starting out...
