I’ve been away from the group for the past month as it’s been very busy but wanted to share that I have achieved the biggest dream in my life. I’ve been appointed as an IDTA examiner 🥳🫶💪 This comes after 6 years of continuous studying, exams too many to count in Licentiate and Fellowships, the last 5 months has been gruelling going through examiner training. But I did it, I’m now the 2nd IDTA examiner in Scotland next to my amazing mentor and inspiration. 💖 I’m so excited to start this next chapter of my career and work for an association that I am so passionate about! 💜🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 And just to top off the best week we won an Award for best Training and Education on Sunday 🥳

I had an insightful conversation when renewing our license yesterday. So the way we operate has changed meaning we do less classes during the holidays so I wanted to alter this on our license as I knew it would save money! Once we had gone through the process (and saved almost £2k per year😳) the lady on the phone then said “how many of these classes work towards and take exams “ my reply was All of them! She then went on to tell me if that was the case I was exempt from the license fee …. WHAT! EXEMPT AFTER PAYING FOR A DECADE! The conversation developed and she asked which governing body we sat exams with but unfortunately ours was not on there … but a hell of a lot were! So I them contacted my governing body and they were very elusive when I asked why they aren’t on the list, they seems to think being on it would rock the boat for some studios… I mean I can only see it as being a positive if they were on this list it could save me in excess of £6k per year! At least 8-10 GB’s were on the list so it can’t be a bad thing right? I went on mention how moving to another GB would be appealing to me if I can save £6k plus a year ( that’s a tidy salary increase 😜) So …. The question is …. Do you know you can save on your PPL / PRS if your school is taking exams and are you benefiting from this? I’m in shock , this could have saved us tens of thousands over the years. Now my GB seemed to think it applied to graded exams only but the operative I spoke to at PPL simply asked “do children work towards and take exams in class” no mention of graded exams. Would love to hear your knowledge on this or are you like me … just finding out!

Starting a prodject with zero funds 🤣🤣 Last time I did this I dropped 3 stone! I mean that can’t hurt me right now! I’m still carrying lockdown weight gain 🤣 So far I’ve got 1 celling in… no lights… so much to do.

Hey Lovely Bosses! Any fundraising ideas? We are going to WOD however the tickets are £45 each 🤯 I have told them to contribute £20 a ticket. But need another £500 to contribute to the rest. I've set up a under 18 battle but a lot of work on my end. If there is any fundraising I can get the parents and kids to do themselves to help pay for their tickets with less work from myself. You know what its like got a million things to do already. The joys of being a dance school owner 😂

Hey Teachers! I'm just about to begin my third and final week in the Philippines. (Check video attached) I did think I was going to get time to dip in and out with work/Skool, but it's not happened. No excuses, I've just been living in the now, and that's okay. Probably needed, as I know the rest of the year is going to be full on!
