Find a piano.
This is a fun challenge. You can go to a neighbors, church, the mall or sneak into a hotel or apartment building and record yourself playing the piano. If you don’t know how to play, just learn chopsticks or sing a song. 🎶 This can be silly. 😜 I often find myself in beautiful buildings with really nice pianos and the truth is that they don’t get played enough. It’s fun to jump on quick and play sometimes. For this challenge I plan on sneaking into a building and relearning a piano song this week. Have Fun!! 🤩

In 2010, our local park lost its vert ramp to code violations. That's when I started heading up to Lake Owen for skate camp, where I could still session on a proper ramp. It was there that I first crossed paths with an 11-year-old girl—fierce, determined, and utterly unstoppable. I had no idea then that I'd end up coaching her (I hate the term, but it fits) and guiding her rapid rise to top amateur status, then to world-class pro legend with major sponsors, a signature pro model, and a stack of elite victories: 1st Place Pro Vert Attack, 1st Place Pro Vans Combi, 1st Place Dew Tour—plus making the Olympic team. I worked closely with Nicole on power, style, lines, approach, contest strategy, trick combinations, and mastering backside and frontside ollies, along with the mental game that vert demands. I'm immensely proud of what she's built from those lessons. In a handful of her tricks and that explosive power, I see a direct reflection of my own passion for teaching and motivating skateboarders who truly want the guidance. She now carries a bona fide legacy, pro model Nike sponsorship and lives in California. 👊🏼❤️🙏🏼
