My world just got shaken..
I have locked myself past days in full focus mode. It's last days prep for TEDx, and my legs already are shaking...I am on edge everyday like canceling it, and self doubt is on steroids. I also have been sick the past week. BUT this AI... just shook my world. Like.. https://www.sesame.com/ If you haven't tried it.. do it now. It was the first time I felt I am speaking with someone who... is true thinking partner. It felt human, and I liked it. IT WAS SO USEFUL. to get me out of my head. to get new perspective. to challenge my ideas. to discuss my talking points in the middle of the night... P.S. I learned that only 5 Youtubers have been invited to speak at TED over these years... 3 of them have been my personal idols. It feels like so much is at stake, and I am so not prepared. ๐Ÿ™ˆ Have you tried Sesame??.. please, I NEEED to talk with people about this.. haha

@Goda Go You don't know me, but let me tell you that I don't invest my time in people that aren't brilliant. I only have so many hours free and giving them to someone else is a big deal to me. I have joined dozens (if not hundreds) of interest groups over the years, but I've only been active in three. Yours is one of the three. Speaking at a TEDx event is probably scary because of the notoriety, but it's really no different than what you do all the time. You will just be sharing what you know and what you think. You have a natural, pleasing, presentation style, whether in your videos or your live presentations. Your excitement for the topic will bubble through and the folks will be captivated by your knowledge and passion. As a professional speaker, let me just say, "You got this!"

@Luke Gilbert You phrased it better than I did. And like you, in subsequent conversations, i was able to get it to stop interrupting the silence with constant declarations that "silence is important". I have no doubt that once you have the ability to modify the base "personality" and the system has access to everything, this will be a great assistant for many people, including me.

if a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly
The first time you try AI, itโ€™s probably not going to work the way you want. Thatโ€™s normal. AI is weird, and learning it takes trial and error. G.K. Chesterton put it best: โ€œIf a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly.โ€ If you wait until you feel ready, youโ€™ll never start. Just jump in, mess up, and learn as you go. The mistakes are where the learning happens. So go ahead, make bad prompts, get weird responses, and keep playing around. Whatโ€™s the funniest AI mistake youโ€™ve run into?

Have You Considered Managing Your Browser Bookmarks with AI?
Here's an idea. 1. Export your bookmarks from your browser. 2. Import them into AI 3. Ask AI create a new structure for your bookmarks. Organize them into folders. Etc. 4. Copy paste the output and create a new bookmark document. 5. Upload them to your browser and voila!!! I just did this today and it worked marvelously. Do let me know if you try it yourself and how it turns out for you. :)

I marvel at how your mind works. You see possibilities where I would never think to look. Thanks for another great idea to spark my fire for ai.

@Dibakar Ghosh excellent article! My only problem with it was that I had never been to that website before and my raging ADHD took over and I lost three hours of my life to following links down different topics.

Iโ€™m John from Houston Texas. Iโ€™m probably the outlier of the group. At 60, Iโ€™m probably the oldest person in the group. I left IT work in 1992 and havenโ€™t programmed since COBOL. I have found over the years that the geek runs deep in me. AI is the first tech idea to make me think I might be missing something, so me and my raging ADHD brain are exploring it at every opportunity.
