Mission Fragrance Set Special Giveaway ($595 Retail Value)
So I was speaking with @Renato Carotti about what he was going to do with his 5th Mission Fragrance set (which he received when he became a BOS VIP member here https://www.skool.com/bos/plans). Well, being the generous guy he is he asked me to gift it to someone in the group. I told him I'd do one better and we could do a giveaway on behalf of his new business https://joeasdecants.com/ So - how to win this set? Visit Joe A's Decants' website https://joeasdecants.com/ and in the comment below give some positive contructive feedback. Seriously, explore the site and let Renato know what he is doing right, and what he can do better to earn your business. I'll go through and choose a winner here in the next week based off of the quality of the feedback and a little bit of luck (I assume we'll have quite a few great responses, so I'll choose one at random) Please note - I will only ship within the USA and ANY level member can win! The giveaway ends November 17th midnight central USA. Have fun and good luck! https://joeasdecants.com/

First of all, thank you @Renato Carotti As for the website. Everything looks great. I love that he is including some of the brands you’ll find at brick and mortar stores like bells or Ross so we can even test them before making a purchase (even if the price tag in store is small). My only real critique would be that the fragrance quiz doesn’t feel like fragrance quiz. I know fragrances can match your personality, but I still feel like it’d resonate with people more if you ask people what they like to smell already. Also, it’d be cool to add some female fragrances as well, but that’s just a personal preference.
A Dior Homme Parfum Revisit
I'm currently on a quest of sorts to understand the iris notes in fragrances and find one that I love more than my current favorite. Yesterday while I was at Epcot for food and wine, I decided to make a pitstop at France so I can revisit Dior Homme Parfum. In the past, I kinda gave it some flack for being extremely lipsticky on paper to the point where it felt feminine to wear but yesterday was different and I decided to say "F it" and sprayed it on skin and it was just gorgeous. The iris was definitely still there but the lipsticky-ness got toned down and let other notes join the show. I'm only mad at myself now because I hear how much better the previous version of Dior Homme Parfum was compared to now. Let this be a reminder that everything can and will smell different on skin, so don't be afraid to take a leap even if you weren't the biggest fan of how it smelt on paper. I missed out on something great.

@Jeff Beason The first couple of times I tested Dior Homme Parfum on paper, was maybe 5-6 months back so idk for sure if it was the original then. I do know now the one I tried last night was the reforumation because I didn't get the leather at all.

@Dave Anderson it seriously is! I drive my wife crazy asking to stop at least once in 1 country to try 1-2 😅
Do You Have A Bias Against Clone Perfumes or Their Users?
I wanted to spark a discussion about perfume clones.. they are everywhere these days, and opinions about them vary widely. Let's share experiences, insights, honest and reflective opinions.. There's no wrong answer.. I am curious to hear some perspective!

I have 0 issues with clones. At the end of the day, my goal is to smell good. As long as I smell good, it doesn't matter if the smelly water costed me $50, or $250. I also live in a captilist country, so if I am able to purchase a product that I like that is 85-95% similar to something else I like for a tenth of the price, there really isn't much incentive to buy a designer or niche fragrance other than for the status. Even then, literally no one would care if I told someone "oh this? It's Kilian (insert fragrance here)". They would just nod and say something along the lines of "Smells good". This is also not give flack to those that appreciate the art behind fragrances and wish to collect them. I understand it wholeheartedly and wish I was able to do the same
