In this post I want to: 1. Share an opportunity to work with me and the team in a free 90-day "specific knowledge" bootcamp 2. Reveal what I've been working on and why I've been inactive in the community PART 1: WHAT I'VE BEEN WORKING ON After I "retired", I got bored. Humans are built to work. So I knew I needed to find my next project. But in a world of unlimited opportunities, it was hard to orient myself. Until I hear this piece of advice - Go where you are needed You should always go where you can help the most, in the least amount of time. That's where you're needed most. After growing my YouTube to 600,000+ subs and making $1,000,000, it was clear I had two skillsets: 1. Audience growth 2. Audience monetization So I was needed in two places: 1. Helping Consultants grow on YouTube 2. Helping YouTubers monetize One group has monetization, but needs an audience. The other group has an audience, but needs monetization. Unsure which to go with, I picked the first one. The main person I worked with was a Consultant called Rian Doris. He bought Consulting.com from Sam Ovens, and runs FlowResearchCollective.com. I helped him define his YouTube strategy, built a team of A-Players who would execute on the strategy, and led them towards making videos. What happened next? Well, the channel blew up. - 940,000 views on Video #1 (on a channel with 0 subs) - 60,000 subs just 4 months later So that was it. I knew what I was going to focus on for the next 3-5 years. I was going to be the 'audience growth' guy. Until... My YouTuber friend Hamza reached out and asked me how he should monetize his channel. So I sent him a simple Loom outlining everything I'd do if I were him.

Would love to hear some RUTHLESS feedback, and maybe praise if there is anything good! - Just finished a landing page for my school. - Starting to push my school a couple hours ago!. - Worried about the landing page being a bottleneck vs a lubricant. Why don't I just use the Skool's new billing instead of a landing page? I will be doing a one-time sign-on payment in a couple of months, and i will be offering a coaching package. Good Afternoon, glad to be part of the community and am excited to get stuck in. I’ve been following Andrew for a good couple of years not but never was part of the time theory course. Is this still available as a legacy product or can the content be published if it is no longer on sale? I’m sure it would help people like myself who are still struggling with procrastination!

@Mat Leo says we don’t have access to this link. Anyone else with this problem?

I've done video editing for Andrew Kirby, Anna Rova and many others, including a brief job with Leon Hendrix. I did a lot of great work when editing for them, however, eventually each of them would decide to change the focus of their business, which would ultimately lead to the end of our working arrangment. I'm currently looking to work with a YouTuber/YouTube channel on a full-time basis as a - Video editor - Content/growth strategist - Channel manager - Assistant creator - Or any and all of the above! Over the next year (Starting this September) I'm looking to go ALL-IN on someone's channel and work full-time to help them skyrocket their channel and business. If you or someone you know is a YouTuber looking for help growing their channel and business please drop me a message or leave a comment on this post. Also, I've recently had a long-form video on my personal channel cross 100k views and I learnt something very interesting from it. Watch the video below for the lessons. Hope you guys find it helpful, thanks for taking the time to read/watch!

Hi everyone! This is my first post but I want to share what I think happened to my great idea. Over the last month I watched and take notes of the 298 long form videos of Alex Hormozi to share in a video the best lessons. I took 248 pages of notes and my decision was to take the best lessons (202) and read it all one after another. This is the video of you want to watch it - https://youtu.be/CbofL2Q5HJ0 It only got 30 views… So, what happened? Thumbnail: I put a photo of me with Alex and the title “best 202 lessons”. I think that’s pretty much a lot of lessons. Also I have 7 subs so, my photo didn’t help. My lesson is to make a better hook with the text and just feature Alex to make social hacking. I changed the thumbnail to the actual version but YT didn’t gave me more impressions, and maybe the reason is… Video: just say 202 sentences one after another is boring, if I selected a topic to make a framework around it using Alex lessons maybe my video have had a chance to succeed because the avg was 53 seconds for a 30 minute video. Let me know what you think!

hmm... so for me the reason i couldn't watch more than a few minutes, was because you did do an excellent job and it's a lot of work. you Summarized the lesson. which i personally find very valubale... but ...BUT.... i don't care.... why not? because i don't care about a summary, i want to know what YOUUUUUUUU thought of it. why didn you pick your top ten, and just go into it about how and why you think it's such a valuable lesson? Like "I love this one because..... and because that, i change thiss....... then because that, i was able to do this... and you might want to think about implimenting it... .one thing i found for me that he didn't mention was......" etc. THAT would have been amazing!

  • @Martin Meneses Vazquez but i think that;s what made it feel lifeless. otherpeople are mentioning similar feeling. not enought about you and who YOU are and what YOU think

I won't count it as step one because it's only the intro and not a full video... But still, I feel so happy and strange and !!!!! What do you think of it? It's my first animation, so it isn't perfect, but I am still proud of how it turned out :D (What do you think of the channel name, banner, description etc.? Some feedback on that would be great as well, thank you so much!)

this is great! I personally would do a little time remapping to about 1.75 - 2 times the speed. It'll make it punchier but not steal from the feel. It would also make it less likely for someone to click off during it (intros can tend to be a turn off if they're too slow or long) Your length is great, but speeding up a bit would be a little better and probably accent the footage of your video before it, or after it. Other wise. great execution on your animation and feel. i like the style. I do actually have one thing i'm not certain on, is the redish color choice for the flow around the skull, is that supposed to be blood? should be more saturated and dark if so. Or is it a whoosh? maybe baby blue or white would make more sense (yeah you'd lose the color contrast, but would make more sense to the viewer. Also i think a "TITLE" would be good to punch at the end or immediately after it. Like i said though, really good. no really feedback on the important stuff!!!!

If you could suggest one app, video/strategy, or something to use in 2023 to get focused/live in the moment, what would it be? ____________________ For the last few weeks I've been simplifying my life, cutting out unnecessary tech, etc to be for focus & purpose driven and would love to hear what has helped you thus far.

@Paul Gray It's literally changed my life. but the most important thing is the amount of headspace i gained. the lack of fog, the motivation to do some self-motivated tasks. nevermind all the extra downtime i've gained. oh also, i could care less about social media at this point. when i use it, i feel disgusting and i find it obnoxious. oh also, i've found that my relationships with my family have significantly gotten better, and for many of my family members, i started relations where there wasn't one!

Hello synthesizers, during my analysis from my best reels (over 100k view) and worldwide creators, i see the pattner from creator during speeching: 1. Self-Belief and belief 100% in the topic about talking 2. Kid test: if the words is hardest for a kid, is hard to go viral 3. Delivery solution or interesting topic 4. Don't be a dictator 5. Variate the tone of voice 6. Variate the speed of voice 7. Use "we" and not "me and you" 8. Mix logical phrase with high emotional topic I have upload the [manifest]. If you want, can you use that.

So I've been struggling with my "niche" for a while. I make self help content with a comedic twist, but I also make straight up comedy skits. Right now I'm posting everything on the same channel, a la Dan Koe's you are your niche. Do you think I'd better serve the algorithm splitting this content into two channels? Thanks for your help!

Hey everyone, lately I'm practicing thumbnail design. I'm grabbing some videos from my favorite creators and see if I can improve their thumbnails and titles. This is my latest thumbnail in the image. My question is: would you click on this video after seeing this title and thumbnail? And why would or wouldn't you click. Leave your opinion in the comments, I'm very curious. PS: this is not a real video, I used photoshop to insert this image into my YouTube home screen. The creator is this image (Leon) is not involved in this. Just some practice by myself.

It’s hard to judge the thumbnail when the video idea doesn’t interest me. Or is it that the thumbnail doesn’t show what you’re actually talking about correctly? I think you need to show more about it. Also the title is pretty long

Hey legends! Hope everyone is fine 🤙 I'd like to level up the quality of my videos and I'd be keen to invest in courses/resources for my video editor. He's good, but we want to level up🔥 Any suggestion based on your experience? Have you guys found any cool resources over the years? Thanks a lot!

Walter Murch In the Blink Of An Eye Book The book that any editor people, that people would recommend to you, learned from. https://amzn.to/3PNwwpO (I’ve been an editor for 30 years)

Hello, Two days ago, I released a new video which I consider my best-edited video so far. It has above typical watch time in the first 0:30 seconds, which is a record. Even my most watched didn't do it. It has a record for most views in a single day. All views are from the browse features, while other videos did it from external facebook/reddit etc. After two hours of release, it flopped and just stopped getting views. I received only 9 subs, while my least viewed and worst video by far has made me 30 subs. Also, it's my most disliked video, with 95% like/dislike ratio. Did I offend somebody? Does my video look too aggressive? CTR is only 2.5%, while my average is 5%. Watch time is okay. It's only behind my most-watched video. I got comments that my video audio is too loud, which is, but I don't think it's that bad for a video to flop. My most watched video, which has 5k views, plays audio only in the left ear, a beginner mistake that I made while recording. It's not that it is unwatchable. I know I am doing something wrong, and I need advice from more experienced people because I want to improve. This is the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0uYr2cXXrA&ab_channel=DarkoTomic

Thumbnail feels threatening. Feels is the operative word. How does it “feel” not how does it “look”

The idea of the video is to talk about password managers and how the future is totally passwordless, and how blockchain based technology is also coming up to make passwords further stronger

@Griffin A. Hamilton oh yeah i suppose to me the DM and real identity is really a great reason all alone!

Remember how I closed that 300k deal? That involves hanging around with the CEO of the company, an 8-figure entrepreneur. He's a beast. Part of my role is hiring A-Players to scale his YouTube. So I was on a de-briefing call to talk about who I thought was one of our ‘best candidates’. “That candidate is weak, Andrew. They’re weak because they don’t have the proper speech patterns.” Proper speech patterns? WTF. Our call ended before I was able to dig deeper… I couldn’t stop thinking about what he said. I NEED to know the answer. I want to be an A-Player. And I know you are who you surround yourself with, so I NEED to be able to SPOT A-Players. So right when our next call started, I asked him what speech pattern do A-players possess? He paused. Thought for 10 seconds. “It’s just about being concise. That’s the differentiator between an A-player and everyone else.” And it made so much sense to me… Rambling is an indicator of poor, unclear thoughts. Clear thinking leads to clear speaking. C-players are unclear. A-players are concise.

Naval Ravikant has released a new social media app. It's clubhouse, but a-sync. Kind of like Whatsapp voice messages in a group chat. It's an opportunity on a new platform to grow an audience. An opportunity to get cutting edge insights on fascinating topics like AI, the future of work, and philosophy. And an opportunity to make connections with people normally impossible to access. I've been given access to five single-use codes to invite people to the app. And I've decided to give access to the top 5 people on the leaderboard access. Check DMs. @Corey Bennett Boardman @Fedor Favorsky @Owen Sheasby @Benedek Santa @Shivam Jha Drop a GIF if one of these people has added value to you in one way to show appreciation. I will give access to more people as soon as I can! PS: Long-time no speak. I've been busy. Working hard. Learning lots. Will share at some point. Hope you're well.

Start putting yourself out there in little ways if you still are scared. Start with putting your face as your profile pic everywhere online for example

So after getting AI to make all of my shorts for me, I'm trying to streamline other areas of my content creation process. My most recent snag is finding music to fit sections of my long-form youtube videos. It just takes bloody ages to find the right songs! (Even when using tools like epidemic sounds). If you've got any tips/hacks/tools you use to make this process less painful, I'd love to hear them. Quietly waiting on an AI tool that will match me songs to specific parts of my vids...

What are your biggest struggles running an online editing business?😅 So, I'm pretty sure that quite a few of us here run editing businesses/freelance or editing is part of our business structure. What I'm trying to figure out is, how hard do you find it? - Is it tough to get the work done? - How hard is it to find clients? - What strategies do you use to get clients? - Are clients tough to impress? - Do you have a basic roadmap you've followed in building your business? - Does AI stress you out or is it gonna be a great tool? - Also, where are you at in your journey? As content creators, I think we spend a lot of time trying to find a balance between creating our own content vs clients' content, so I guess that's mainly what I'm trying to find out, how do you balance your business?

    - Is it tough to get the work done? - - depends on if expectations were clear - How hard is it to find clients? - - depends on your sales and marketing skills - What strategies do you use to get clients? - - I personally relied on a network - Are clients tough to impress? - - no - Do you have a basic roadmap you've followed in building your business? - - no. Just do good work. Do your best and show up on time. - Does AI stress you out or is it gonna be a great tool? - - It's just a tool in the toolbox. It helps you do tasks faster so you can spend time on other parts. BUT it is stealing jobs. not because what it does, but because clients just want socials content instead of tv commercials. therefore the quality of AI being low, is passable. - Also, where are you at in your journey? - - I'm trying to leave post-production.

Can you recommend a microphone for podcasting? I've been recording with a 60$ mic and it's not bad. But I'd like to buy something slightly better. Should I get a dynamic or condenser mic? Thaaaanks!

I'm trying to boost my productivity output by as much as possible. Though I notice that whenever I come back from a heavy session at the gym, the rest of the day usually falls apart. This is partially the reason why I gym later at the day. I've heard people take these Athletic green smoothies but I'm skeptical. Right now I'm fasting 18/6, go to the gym 5 days a week & take 5 minute breaks when I need to but I'm still not as energized as I want though my nutritional intake & sleep is pretty great. What do you do?

I will admit, I enjoy editing videos and finding the right music and the fun and supportive piece of b roll, and maybe some sound effects... And then I watched Tatana's video. And then I watched (not all) of Hamza's video. The realization of complacency, for me, comes from thinking I have to do what I do for my clients, and "make" a video. Instead, the art comes from getting the paint on the canvas and like a painting, some will see the work, and find it moving or meaningful, while other will not...they are not staring at the Monet and thinking to themselves, "I wonder what type of brush was used to create the eyebrow?" or "was this stroke an up to down motion or a down to up?" Watching a talking head video, with no cutaways, no music, but rather just candid raw reality, may be an art I had forgotten with bright shiny objects that only lead me to "not putting paint on the canvas" Anyone else have this or similar reaction, or held up from metaphorically putting paint on the canvas?

So it's pretty clear that niche is the way to go. But it can be difficult sometimes if your niche is already bombarded by people who make content about practically anything. My passion for self-development seems to be so widespread that I can't think of a good niche to work my way in. I've been trying to think of examples like: 1. Productivity Youtuber (exists) 2. Productivity Youtuber for men (exists) 3. Productivity Youtuber for men without a father (exists) 4. Productivity Youtuber for men without a father & lack of resources (exists) 5. Productivity Youtuber for men without a father, lack of resources & deep interest in stoicism (exists) 6. Productivity Youtuber for men without a father, lack of resources, deep interest in stoicism & teaches about money(exists) It feels like some niches have to go so deep into finding the right place until your niche only reaches an audience so small that you'll barely get people to watch you. Please help me brainstorm

For lack of a better word, I call it a “Meta life-experience” but I wonder if there is a sexier way to describe that: It’s like FLOW/BEING IN THE ZONE but with the difference that it: - involves more than one person - their behaviors compliment each-other and not only enhance but actually create what I am trying to describe Examples: - two children playing 🚂🪁 - two or more friends doing what they love💕 - someone really passionate about their calling/profession helping a client with full focus in the “here and now” 👩‍⚕️👩‍💻 - love making between partners who are truly “into each-other” (excuse the pun 🫣) - a group sport, where the individual players are “in the zone” 🏟️ - a concert 🎶 Examples what it’s NOT that: - you being rushed by the customer service rep because they are not compensated properly or don’t feel aligned to their mission - your friend calling you to vent and you can’t wait to hang up the phone because you don’t want to be a part of it Thank you 🙏
