Wanting to hone my skills.
Hello, I am legally blind D&D 1e/2e/3.5e/5e/MTG/PF1e/PF2e/WH40K player. I am currently a GM for 6 games, training a new DM (D&D) and play in two as a player. I also work in special education. If it weren't for adaptative technology, the game and books would be completely unaccessible to me. I have adapted just to keep playing. Been playing for 35 years roughly. Started when I was young. Didn't know what I was doing at first (Not sure I still do) but I am still going and have almost 36 players

@Jim Freeman Thought about doing that but getting things approved in my school district can be hard.

@Jim Freeman There are. Math, reading, critical thinking skills, problem solving, communication skills, effective listening and that isn't counting that you can add elements of science and history
What is your Other Hobby?
So I was commenting on a Post on Reddit about scheduling woes and joked that the hobby is full of theatre kids not only because we are dramatic, but because we know that if we do show the show doesn't happen. It made me think about the hobby and what is a good predictor on who really shows up to games. I did a bit of theatre but also play board games, write, and bounce around with some sort of fitness most of the time. What do y'all do for fun outside of RPGS?

I fly RC Aircraft, Art and Crafts, Write Poetry and Parodies and host a game night. I have also created several worlds and love storytelling.

@Briggs Schneider Yeah, it not for everyone. I also have lost some mini RC quads but I don't loose most of the bigger ones as they can be equipped with GPS. Wouldn't do that for the little rinky-dink ones but the more expensive ones yes.
Your dream genre
In the world of TTRPGs there are as many genres as the imagination is vast. If you could only play one genre/game what would it be? Don't be afraid to be as precise as you want. Maybe you like pirates and biplanes and that's amazing. Maybe trash pandas (racoons) trying to find their way home after being swept away in a garbage truck. Whatever it is let us know.

I like a fantasy with political undertones, several local, country and international plots. I like to be challenged mentally and physically in a game. I love puzzles, riddles and a good mystery. I also like the Hero genre as well. What I would like to get to play most is a really good Sci-Fi Fantasy like the D&D Dr. Who TTRPG. I think that would be one I would like to get people to play.
