Hello from England
Hello I'm Si a 50 + year old disabled man from England I was trained as a vehicle fleet technician but had to retire from that about 2 years ago when i had my spinal cord injury i suppose most people would just relax after that but not me I need to keep busy to keep my mind working. I currently run a small print shop Love working with my hands and woodwork. Recently built myself a cnc machine which kept me busy for a while. I have watched that many youtube videos it's unreal my wife says i'm obsessed lol i'm not obsessed I am learning which is the main reason i'm here :)

Hello Si, welcome!
Cherry Table,
Hi guys and gals. Thought I would post a few pics of the table I made. It’s made from Cherry wood. It has one drawer, tapered legs ( all 4 sides) and a tapered top ( both sides ) . I used mortise and tenon joinery for the table carcass. And 1/2 blind dovetails and through dovetails for the drawer. Most of the work was hand tools but I did you some power tools as well. There are 6 or so pics Enjoy!

@Rich Murphy thank you.
If you could add one tool to your workshop, what would it be and why?
You might have a long wishlist, but if you could just pick one tool that you could add right now, which one would you pick?

Bandsaw. I know is a basic saw , but I don’t have one and can totally use one. It’s useful because for not only straight cuts but curved cuts as well.

Sadly I have plenty of them also!!
What do I need now?
I was just watching the "myth buster" video and thought about my dad. He was a carpenter and block Mason who built houses, and he never owned a power tool. I have $20k+ shop full of power tools and can't do what he did.

It’s never too late to learn! I’m sure where ever you live there are woodworking school, clubs, even adult school classes at your local high school or trade school! Get in your shop and start making some sawdust!!! Just alway be aware of where your fingers are!!! Have fun!!
