🚀 LIVE WORKSHOP: Plan Your 2026 Workshop (Dec 17th)
Hey everyone! It's that time of year. You're looking back at 2025, and maybe you're feeling one of two things: 1. "Wow, that was a whirlwind. I'm exhausted, and I have no idea how to make next year less chaotic." 2. "I hit some goals, but I feel like I was just winging it. I need a REAL plan for 2026." If either of those sounds familiar, I've created something just for you. Introducing: The Plan Your 2026 Workshop This is a LIVE, 90-minute workshop where we will plan for 2026 with intention. This isn't about setting vague goals and hoping for the best. This is a hands-on, reflection-based planning experience designed to give you clarity and a plan for your most profitable and fulfilling year yet. By the end of this workshop, you will have: ✓ Clarity on what to let go of and what to double down on. ✓ Your 2026 Identity & Theme: A guiding principle for the year. ✓ Your "This Time Next Year" Vision: A compelling picture of your future across YOU, BUSINESS, and LIFESTYLE. ✓ Specific Revenue & Session Goals: The numbers you're actually working toward. ✓ Your Big Rocks Map: The non-negotiable anchors for your year (professional & personal). ✓ Your Q1 2026 Focus: Your top 3 priorities to start the year with momentum. The Details: - Date: Tuesday, December 17, 2025 - Time: 9:00 AM Sydney time - Where: Live on Zoom. Details in the Calendar tab - Investment: FREE for the Pet Photographers Collective members Can't make it live? The replay will be available for US$27, or you can get it for free when you join the Premium Membership. This is for you if you're tired of reactive, last-minute marketing and you're ready to plan your 2026 with intention. This is NOT for you if you're looking for a magic bullet or you're not willing to do the work. Why I'm Doing This I see too many talented pet photographers get stuck in a cycle of overwhelm and inconsistent bookings because they don't have a plan. This workshop is designed to break that cycle.

Staying Cohesive
Hi guys. I do have my style of editing that I like. Sometimes it’s hard to achieve just because my photoshop skills are still developing. But I do struggle sometimes to stay cohesive throughout my clients edits. As you all know, shooting outside the lights always different even from one shot to another, the backdrop is different as it changes throughout the seasons and sometimes even in each shot for me too as I live in England 😂 I was wondering if anyone has any tips on keeping my images cohesive. I use Lightroom classic and Photoshop for reference. I’m aware of the pasting settings and masks. But I feel I’m doing something wrong. I also feel it’s time for me to start shooting better. I used to shoot whatever I could get. But I feel I need to start planning out my shots better. Which is hard when we have tornado dogs on our sessions 🌪️ 😂 I shot a session last week and it’s so hard for me to edit in my style because it was such a bright day and I was in a different location not much shade. My style is more moody sometimes slightly underexposed look and towards a fine art style for outdoor photography. Sorry for the long message but grateful of any tips as I’m self taught I’ve been doing this for one year xx

Hey Paula, I think it's about finding your style. It may take you sometime in the beginning but once you've worked out what you love and what your "style" or brand is, then it's really important to be consistent so your brand looks cohesive. For me I use Imagen AI which has learnt my lightroom edits and then I take it into photoshop and apply the PS Actions I've recorded. I've taught my VA to edit the way I do it using my actions and she's doing a good job at being consistent and matching my style. Hope that helps
form info questions
I used to do floral sessions, charged $295 for them (much higher than regular sessions) I found them to be my worst earning sessions, despite all the info I provide before booking and after, people still act shocked. I believe this to be because I opened booking slots to the public, and so they book without reading and just agreeing to everything so they don’t miss out and get a spot, for the novelty of it. This year I’m doing it differently, hoping to release a form so people can register their interest - limiting the sessions to 4 standard sessions ($195), 2 exclusive ones (around the $4k range) in a large package with special privileges. After form is submitted they will receive welcome email, etc. but my question is: what questions should I ask in the form - I want to keep it simple but also want to know how much info to give in the first impression. Would love to know what others do for competitions, contests, book project forms, etc. So far, my qualifying question for the form is : “These sessions are a fine art experience focused on creating printed artwork, with most clients investing between $1200 - $2,000 on their final artwork. Does this feel aligned with what you’re looking for?” Any suggestions welcome and appreciated - even for the emails that should be sent after and how much initial info to provide 💛

Hey @Mary Catala I love that you’re rethinking your structure this year for your floral session. What you experienced with the floral sessions is really common. When you open bookings to the public and spots feel scarce, people grab them quickly without actually reading anything. They’re driven by the novelty rather than the intention of investing in artwork. That’s not a “you” problem. It’s a filtering problem. A registration form as you mentioned is a great way to slow people down just enough so only the right clients move forward. I would outline on the landing page what you said as the qualifying question: “These sessions are a fine art experience focused on creating printed artwork, with most clients investing between $1200 - $2,000 on their final artwork.: And then for your qualifying question I would ask something along the lines of: These sessions are designed for clients who want something special and lasting. you interested in purchasing printed artwork? This helps catch people who only want digitals before they book. - Yes, I would love printed artwork of my dogs to display around my home - Maybe, I'd like to learn more - No, I just want the digitals or something along this line. You could also add another question • “Where do you imagine displaying your artwork at home?” This shifts their mindset into artwork ownership, which is important. I would limit it to these 2 questions and of course collect their contact details phone and email. The follow-up emails matter just as much as the form.Keep the first email warm, simple, and reassuring. Don’t overwhelm them with too much detail straight away. The goal of the first email is to reinforce the experience, not pressure them . For example: • A welcome email • A brief overview of the artwork experience • A couple of examples of what clients have previously purchased • Clear next steps The main point is you’re not trying to convince people. You’re trying to attract the ones already aligned. The right clients appreciate the care and the process. The wrong ones won’t make it past the form, or you'd at least know or have an idea, which saves you time and protects your energy.
