📕 DAY 6 DEVO — DISCIPLINE: THE DOORWAY TO STRENGTH
“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” — Hebrews 12:11 Let’s be honest—discipline rarely feels good in the moment. It’s uncomfortable. It pushes against your flesh. It demands consistency when you feel like quitting. But discipline is the forge where God shapes men into warriors. God isn’t trying to make your life easier—He’s trying to make you stronger. Most men pray for God to change their situation. But God often uses the situation to change the man. When you choose discipline over comfort… When you choose obedience over excuses… When you choose consistency over emotions… You’re not just building habits—you’re building spiritual muscle. Weak men avoid resistance. Strong men embrace it. Godly men understand that discipline is not punishment from God—it is preparation by God. Discipline produces: - clarity - self-respect - spiritual strength - emotional control - resilience - purpose - peace Notice what the verse says: “trained by it.” Discipline is not a one-and-done decision. It’s training. Training rewires you. Training toughens you. Training prepares you for the battles ahead. Your marriage needs a disciplined man. Your children need a disciplined father. Your calling needs a disciplined warrior. Your future depends on who you are becoming daily, not occasionally. If you only show up when you feel like it, you will never become the man God designed you to be. But if you show up even when it’s hard—even when it hurts—you will eventually reap a harvest your emotions could never give you. Today, choose discipline. Not because it’s easy. Not because it’s enjoyable. But because the man you’re becoming requires it. ACTION STEP Pick ONE discipline today and complete it no matter what. Examples: - Your workout - Your devotional time - Your nutrition - A tough conversation - A leadership action at home - A habit you’ve been avoiding

I've really been bad at allowing my.emotions to dictate my actions at home. I need to change that to be a better leader and example
