Hey all, I have an established newsletter (10 years) and planning on launching a community. I was going to use Heartbeat for my community (heartbeat.chat/) but know that Skool has been growing in popularity. My question is, why is Skool so popular? I can't seem to wrap my head around it. It seems pretty basic and the design (IMHO) is... ugly/boring. So why are so many people flocking to and promoting school?

I'm a Skool affiliate, so I'm a little biased. I have bought and monetized a lot of Facebook groups. FB is killing reach, but that's not what frustrated me the most. What frustrated me was: I couldn't DM people. Or my DMs would land in the "Message Requests" section. I couldn't ask someone else to DM on my behalf unless I gave them access to my profile. Skool fixed that for me. Now, I run a poll or an auction. Then, ask a team member to DM the interested members. And we close them over chat. Skool as a sales machine is working very well for us. P.S. Flippa vs EF referral programs

I really like how Flippa has integrated Partnerstack directly into their platform so you get a button underneath each listing you can promote with one click. For example why wouldn't you promote a SaaS listed for $90M and earn $540K! But I've always loved me a leaderboard and seeing me at #31 on Empire Flippers is making me have to get into the top 10!

Their AM sucks. I sent them more than a thousand clicks. And no data shows up on my partnerstack account. Contact AM, and she replied after multiple follow-ups. And she is more interested in learning how I'm sending the traffic rather than solving the issue.

Groups, Communities, Newsletters, Podcasts - What's the Value chain?

Reddit Group vs. FB Group? Newsletter list vs. Podcast? What's most valuable to you from an acquisitions perspective? For example - is a Reddit group of equal value to a FB Group? Beehiv same as Substack? Does having a Podcast + YT channel add to the value? Trying to prioritize channels to invest in when building out new media brands and want to work backwards from what provides most value in the marketplace. Focus has been lost on this newsletter and has just been running bare minimum at about $500-$1K a month lately. When we were actually focused, it was doing $2K-$5K a month. - Just cleaned the list, 11K subscribers. - 16% Open Rate (it was much higher when we were sending more, 25%-35%) - 100-200 clicks per send - Primarily built off of google ads Reach out if interested. Looking to move quickly with a deal.
