I'm Greg and I am from a small town in New Mexico, I love learning and helping others learn too. I am interested in phytoremediation because I live just 65 miles away from where the very first atomic bomb was detonated (the Trinity test site). The people here have suffered greatly from cancer as a result. We have seen entire families die from various forms of cancer. I really would love to clean up this land so that nobody else has to suffer. We just commemorated the 80th anniversary since the bomb. The radiation has decayed significantly but if you go out there today for 1 hour you'll still get 10x more radiation than you would get in an entire year. I'd love to use phytoremediation to help clean this up even faster! I've built a Facebook group for this effort but if we can get things rolling here maybe that would be better! I'm all for whatever platform will enable the fastest growth for this effort.
