How ChatGPT Will Ruin the World!
From libraries, to Google, to ChatGPT — knowledge seeking has evolved over time, and has become more efficient at every stage. https://medium.com/@gianyrox/how-chatgpt-will-ruin-the-world-57ea88b203fe I posted this article two weeks ago on Medium. Many people had interesting comments that showed me things I didn’t think about when writing. It gave me the following questions that I would like to discuss with you: I think that ChatGPT can think like a human, but can not reflect like a human (unless it is in one conversation). What do you think? I believe that a definition of Polymath could be, “one who knows many subjects involving math” or “one who knows many maths.” What’s your definition of polymath? What do you think about the term “prompt engineers” as in, one who engineers AI prompts? Drop an answer to any or all of these questions below and any thoughts on ChatGPT!

Thanks for the response @Lucas Cuervo! I have faith in humans as well. I think we will see many issues with the way people use ChatGPT that will force the discussion of responsible usage of such a technology. If we do not, we "will cease to exercise memory," as Plato says it. The quote shows how humans seem to rediscuss the same topics through time. Makes me wonder where I got the inspiration to write this article... Could I have gained a perspective from past humans' writings, or did I pull the ideas from some societal human consciousness? I do not know the answer to that question, but I sure do know I need to read more Plato!

Hey @Paul Saunders! Well I don't actually believe it will ruin the world, even though I say it in the title. I believe it will change the world in many ways for better and for worse. The technology itself is also simply amazing!

My calling
Four years ago I was told to start creating content. I did what I was told. Now it feels like I've been able to push to the frontier of the Great Online Game. And I feel like the things I've been able to see will revolutionise the way humans work. And that fills me with an insane amount of energy. I really have the opportunity to do some GREAT WORK here. I talk about this shift here: - https://www.skool.com/synthesizers/find-your-zone-of-genius?p=4644759e - https://twitter.com/IAmAndrewKirby/status/1423278648979726340 - https://twitter.com/IAmAndrewKirby/status/1605193664833142784 - https://twitter.com/IAmAndrewKirby/status/1603704951259160576 - https://twitter.com/IAmAndrewKirby/status/1610355515846189056 - https://twitter.com/IAmAndrewKirby/status/1602629653969223683 Now I'm trying to summarise this whole idea into one simple sentence, so that I can send out a sharp signal to the world to attract the people that resonate deeply with the signal. It's a work in progress, so I thought I'd share that with you guys live. Here's entries from my journal, messages to my team, and other messages that resonate with me. START: “I am the pioneer of the future of work” resonates with me deeply. This is my phone wallpaper (attached). "I help Young Men reach Financial Freedom" is another thing that's cool, but doesn't fully encapsulate my calling. I value Impact, Income, and Fun. The problem with above Financial Freedom message is it covers Income, but not Impact and Fun.

I’m quite interested in Effective Altruism. Seems like a great place for researchers.

@Miling Longphoi Hi Michael! I am unsure what the problem is... Substack is not letting me edit the post for some reason. Thanks for letting me know! :)

You're Invited! 7th May Mastermind Call
(4/6 of our accountability calls) Three weeks ago some members of the community started a weekly Zoom call to connect with each other, hold each other accountable, and solve each other's problems. The main goal is to create one piece of content per week, for 6 weeks. To build the habit of creating, and grow your audience. You can see a recording of the first call here. And a recording of the third call here. This weeks call will follow a mastermind format inspired by Think and Grow Rich. Here's how the call will work: A member of the call will be randomly chosen by @Wiktor Romanowicz. The chosen member will describe: 1. Their current situation around synthesizing 2. Their desired situation around synthesizing 3. Any problems that are holding them back from reaching their desired situation. This should take less than 3 minutes, so if you tend to ramble, it could be a good idea to come to the call prepared with a rough idea of what you're going to say. Then the rest of the members of the call will try their best to help the chosen member solve their problem! People can unmute themselves, offer advice, recall times they were in similar situations and what they did, provide content recommendations etc. Ideally responses are short and concise, mindful of everyone's time. Then after roughly 10 minutes, another hotseat member is randomly chosen. I've personally paid a looooooot of money to attend similar mastermind calls, and have received a tonne of value from it (what's more valuable than a group of intelligent people all working on solving your most pressing problems?). The call will go on for around 60 minutes. And even if you're not chosen, chances are people are going through similar problems to you, so it'll still be valuable. Plus teaching is the best way to learn.

@Richmund Meneses Thank you Richmund! I am a Math and Physics Undergraduate doing research with a professor. Thank you for your advice; in the future I will be posting blogs specific to researchers and your advice will be very useful!
