Binding off question
So, I’ve been practicing various skills in an attempt to perfect my techniques. Using waste yarn on both ends of a tube, I single crocheted one end and lost all of the stretch. I put the other end on a circular knitting needle. I haven’t had a chance to work it off, but I’m wondering if this will give me the stretch I need. I’m not an expert knitter, but I feel that ribbing would give me the stretch. My question is…what other methods are available? Can you direct me to videos for help with this question? Do any of you know what I need to do?

@Kim Thompson-Pinder the neck of a sweater is an example of what I would be making.

🧶✨ Some Exciting News Is Coming Tomorrow… ✨🧶
Over the last few months, this community has grown in ways I never could have imagined. More members. More projects. More learning. More support. And with that growth comes opportunity. Starting tomorrow, I’m going to be sharing some exciting updates about our membership structure — changes designed to make things clearer, simpler, and even more accessible for knitters at every level. Whether you’re here to: • Finally conquer your Addi or Sentro • Learn iCord the right way • Expand your skills • Or grow into selling your work There’s something coming that will support you even better. I’ve been listening carefully to what you need. I and the admin team have been working behind the scenes to create something that allows us to grow stronger — together. Keep an eye out tomorrow. 💛This is a good change. And I can’t wait to share it with you. — Kim

💛 Community Update: Welcoming Our New Admin Team 💛
As our community continues to grow, it’s important to me that we protect what makes this space special — supportive, safe, and focused on Circular Machine Knitting. Because of that, I’m excited to officially welcome four new admins to our team: ✨ @Julie Findleton ✨ @Paul Brown ✨ @Suzane Mesheau ✨ @Ruby Dack They’ve generously stepped in to help support the community in some very important ways, including: • Keeping the community safe by removing scammers, spammers, and anyone here with the wrong intentions • Hosting Crafting Hours • Answering questions and offering support • Helping new members feel welcomed and encouraged This step allows me to stay focused on creating patterns, courses, challenges, and content — while knowing the heart of this community is being well cared for. 💬 A quick note from my heart: If you’re reading this and wondering, “What about me?” — please know this is not a closed circle. As we continue to grow, I fully expect to expand the team again. There are so many incredible members here, and there will be future opportunities to step into leadership and support roles. Thank you for being part of a community that looks out for one another and helps keep this a place where knitters can learn, grow, and feel at home. With gratitude, Kim 💛🧶

Well, I’m proud to say that I am finishing up a scarf. I am accessorizing it hearts and fringe!
Quick Update
As many of you know, I have had to divert some time away from the community to do some serious accounting due to an error made by one of my employees and lack of honest accountants in my area, so I don't get serious fines and interest. It is taking longer than expected, but I am making good progress, and I am hoping to finally have it done by the end of the week, so I can get back to what I really love and that is this community.

I own an Addi 46pin circular knitting machine. I have only made a beanie and hair band. I’m looking forward to learning all about circular knitting
