Guatemala is a country of volcanoes, Mayans and colourful markets. This picture of two Mayan women strolling through an Indian market, with volcan San Pedro in the background, is a good representation of many a traveller's favourite destination in Central America. Framed by three volcanoes, Aldous Huxley described Lake Atitlan as 'the most beautiful lake in the world'. The tourist village of Panajachel is situated on the northern coast of the lake. Another famous market town in Guatemala is Chichicastenango. Mayan Tikal and colonial Antigua are also very popular with foreign tourists. Easter in Antigua

Quick App update🗣️
Hey y'all!! I've been plugging away on this computer the past few days, and phase 1 is really starting to take shape. Eeeek! Here's the latest: The early app preview is now opening on a phone and starting to show the trusted network experience we’re building.📱 I’ve shared the first screen recording inside the Founding Members module so our Founding Members can get the first look, give feedback, and help shape what comes next. This is one of the reasons I’m so excited about the Founding Member phase. Founding Members aren’t just watching from the outside; they’re getting early access, helping shape the app, and seeing the build come to life first. This is still an early build, but it’s a big step toward turning trusted recommendations and nearby mutual connections into something real. More soon!

Permanent souvenir 🌎

Skool Ads: I need your opinion!
Hey y’all! It’s been so exciting seeing the 6degreesapp in the Skool ads lately but after seeing it a few times, I’m rethinking what it says. To me, it wasn’t clear what the community is for or why someone would want to be involved. This community is a different (as y’all know), in that we aren’t selling programs or courses or teaching anything here. SO, why would someone want to join? That wasn’t clear in the first picture. I’ve changed it and would LOVE your feedback. Don’t be shy. Give it to me straight. This is how we grow! New pic:

I'll be honest again. I don't believe in the 'affiliate commissions' any more. TravelNotes.org has been online since 1997. For a quite a while we were making **many** thousands a month. Now it's in the hundreds. We've been thinking about mobile apps for ages, but they really struggle. Think about it. How many apps do we have on our phones? How many do we really use? I have all social media on my phone. All notifications turned off, and never use them on the go. Not even Skool. It's all on computer, and 6degrees will need an online version; or it's dead in the water. I use tracking apps for hiking, where I can add photos. Think about that; ability to add photos and reviews on the go. Or what is the app really doing. @Ashley Melton - I'm really trying to be positive in my thinking. Hope to see you in San Antonio some day. I did the Riverwalk (in 1994), but really didn't know where to choose. Reminded me of the tourist restaurants near the Rialto Bridge in Venice. If the app was live, where would you be recommending?
