I'll share mine. Fourth grade. We are told to be ready to give a 3-minute book report. I got through two lines. One of which was, "This is a book.' I hated being laughed at!
Early in my first year of residency, was assigned a talk on 5 types of gyn skin lesions. Having little experience in this area, I mixed up the slides in the deck and misidentified 2 lesions before realizing my mistake. Then I had to quickly apologize to a full room of interns, residents, med students and attending physicians. It was awful!
@Daniel Pennington I was fortunate that the senior residents had mercy and helped me through it. All physicians and clinicians know how difficult it is to diagnose skin lesions- many types can present with similar characteristics- necessitating biospy. thanks!
