Blackwater Outdoor Journeys — Co-Star Casting Call
This isn’t a guided tour. It’s a film run. I’m looking for paddling partners for Spring/Summer 2026. You pick the sector, we paddle it, and I cut it into a documentary-style YouTube episode with you as the co-star. Sectors: • Blackwater (tight cypress tunnels) • Suwannee (flow + sandbars) • Okefenokee (big, wild, prehistoric) Requirements: you can swim, paddle, and sleep in a hammock (or small tent). You handle wet, heat, bugs, and long days without getting spun up. ✅ Full details are in the Classroom. Comment “APPLY” and I’ll point you to the application inside the course. Where the Map Ends, The WILD begins!! Stay Rugged.

How many days?
🔥START HERE — DO THIS FIRST 🧭
Glad you're here. This community runs on field calls, not gear flex. 👆 ✅ Your First Win (60 seconds): Drop ONE line in the comments: 👉 Terrain type for your next 48 hours (woods / river corridor / mountains / desert / mixed) That's it. I'll reply with one steady fix to tighten your next trip. 🔥 🎯 Your First Milestone (within 7 days): Post your One-Screen 48-Hour Trip Plan (no locations): Not sure what some of these mean yet? That's exactly why you're here. Best guess is fine. - Terrain type - Time of year - Expected low temp - Sleep system (bag/quilt + pad) - Cook system (yes/no + stove type) - Water plan (filter/chemical/boil) - Pack weight estimate - #1 concern Keep it plain. Keep it honest. That's how you get better fast. 🤙 Drop your ONE line below. 👇 Where the Map Ends, The WILD begins!! Stay Rugged.

@Rodney Thompson Outdoor Skills dropping off and picking up folks is somewhat haphazard. Once we are on the final stretch, success! Unexpected funerals or bad weather can cause a lot of trouble for planned flights.
🧭 COURSE 1–4 OVERVIEWS ARE LIVE
If you’ve ever thought: “I don’t know where to start.” “I’ve watched a ton of videos but still feel unsure.” “I’m fine… until something goes wrong.” That’s exactly why these overviews exist. This isn’t about being hardcore. It’s about being prepared on purpose. Course 1: Foundations Course 2: Camp Kitchen Course 3: Navigation Course 4: Expedition Kitchen Systems 👇 One question (answer fast): What’s the hardest part before your trips? A) Planning B) Packing C) Navigation D) Camp setup E) Confidence Drop the letter. One sentence max. Where the Map Ends, The WILD begins!! Stay Rugged.

A) Planing. Really coordinating. I am often an instigator and need all the participants to show up ready.
