Hi @Jason Toussaint. The choice of bank is mainly dependent on the type of business. We have opted to start with a digital bank (Relay, Mercury, etc.) because we are starting out as an online/digital company. I have been on recent calls, though, that stress the importance of having relationships with individuals at the bank—be it digital or traditional brick and mortar. Chase seems to be a good choice, but please check for capabilities, customer support, financial tools, and ease of use. These typically separate the good from the not-so-good options.

@Jason Toussaint, these are non-resident options. For the brick & mortar bank application, I have also received guidance to be present in the US when doing this. Physical presence decreases the risk of subsequent administrative issues such as account ownership, KYC/AML regulations, and dealing with inconsistent banking policies that could vary from branch to branch within the same banking institution. The JBA team can help with this on their premium plans. Given my previous comment on the banking relationship, I believe (this is my opinion, and you might want to vet it) it still helps to be present for physical bank account registrations. I hope this helps. PS. We are yet to open a bank account due to EIN delays, so most of this information has been researched and received from various sources.
