📚 Quiet afternoon in the library
This afternoon I’m at the library in Montequinto (Seville) with my wife and my 10-year-old daughter, just looking at books and spending some quiet time together 🙂 And it made me think about something: Do you think libraries still make sense nowadays with so much technology around us? Curious to hear your thoughts.

I think reading books in print is just as valid as reading them online or on an electronic device. And many people still prefer to read physical books. Besides, libraries are peaceful places where time stands still. So I believe libraries still have a future ahead of them.
📌 Quick Community Recap – Session 1
Hey everyone! Here’s a quick recap of our first community session. Today, our first session was great!! We talked about how this community is going to work: practical English, real conversation, useful chunks, and weekly practice through your crónicas. We also reviewed some key ideas: - Quick Twist will be our main training path, with short stories, real-life language and common verbs. - Core Training will help you reinforce the grammar behind each week. - English is not about translating word by word. It is about learning how English speakers really express ideas. - Listening is difficult because native speakers use rhythm, reductions, slang and idioms. 🔑 Useful chunks from today - I feel like + -ing → I feel like having a cold beer. (tener ganas de...) - I’m looking forward to + -ing → I’m looking forward to learning English. (Estar deseando de ...) - At home / at work → not “in home” or “in work”. - My dream is to… → better than translating “mi ilusión es…”. 🎧 Practice tip Choose a short clip from a podcast or video. Listen to one sentence, pause it, repeat it, and try to copy the rhythm, tone and pronunciation. Don’t just say the words, try to sound like the speaker. Great first session. Let’s keep building this together! 🚀
Thank you, Jesús!
🔥 Primera sesión en directo (este miércoles 20:00 Hora española)
No va a ser una clase típica. Primero me presentaré y os contaré un poco cómo nació todo esto. 👉 Y después hablaremos un rato en inglés. Aunque te bloquees. Aunque cometas errores. Aunque lleves años sin usar inglés. 📅 Miércoles🕗 20:00 España 👉 si vas a venir, deja un I'M IN abajo 👇

I'm in!
Welcome to QuickInglés Lab 👋.
Aquí no venimos a estudiar inglés. Venimos a usarlo. Nada de perfección. Nada de postureo. Just communication. I'm from Málaga. I freeze in meetings. I work in HR." Keep it simple. Lo importante es empezar a hablar. 💪
Hello, I'm Pablo and I'm from Málaga. When I have to speak in English I get stuck and I have difficulty expressing myself. I work in customs. I spent 20 years working on a patrol boat, but now I work in the office.
