May the 4th Be With You
Who’s protecting your plants? Show off your pollinators, pest controllers, and perpetual powerhouses — from insects and companion plants to anything beneficial — on this day of honoring all the rebel forces for good. If you don’t have a pic to share, copy one from the internet and tell us about it. 🌸🌼🌺🌻🐝🦋🐜🪱🌱
May the 4th Be With You
My sweet basil is trying to repel certain pests.
Do you ‘shop’ like this?
Sometimes the public landscaping is begging to come home with us. Have you ever done this? I’ve absolutely taken some seeds or a slyly pinched off a small cutting to root at home later. I learned from the best — my mom! 😂 This is where my seed collecting/hoarding skills originated — and why I have random seeds and dead leaves scattered in all the nooks and holding spots in my car. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂🙃😏🫣💚 https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXxd6uVuZIN/?igsh=bXlpNGlveWp6Mm5y
Haha! I did that around few months back when asking permission from my neighbor to borrow some of sweet basil's seeds by directly taking from the dried flower. He granted me the permission. Also, last year, collected dried leaves from my one of my neighbors and nearby park.
Planting a dream, growing community
This isn’t our typical content, but this teacher’s story is powerful and meant to be shared. It’s about having a dream, taking a chance, finding and creating your own opportunities, and growing a community. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, and maybe be inspired to take a scary first step. 🌼🌸🌺🌻💐💐💐 https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXx--v9t9Ba/?igsh=NTZ3OWJ6cmpiYmF4
She really did a great job on being resourceful and getting the most out of something wasteful. I like she used unused land to grow flowers and created a community and business. But in contrast, most of us aim to get results and not concerned about how much are we wasting resources, of what we can recycle.
Past and present pests
What’s buggin’ you right now? Drop a pic of a “pest” that’s disturbing your growing area — it can be an animal, insect, or anything else that tries to disrupt soil life, plant health, or your inner peace. Tell tell us what it is and why it’s a nuisance to you. Extra-special bonus bragging rights if you include a solution to successfully manage or eliminate it. 💥
Past and present pests
@Julie Vigil Kittens in the morning.
@Julie Vigil Haha! But those kittens are now getting off the line. Just need to wait till they grow more. They ruined some of my plants.
Rooting from tree branch

Interesting @Tamara Flier ! It's great you've pointed out on adventitious roots that hand around from branches, which could be used to develop new roots and get the branch above it to develop new tree.
Thanks for sharing! It could be useful on propagating Monstera.
