One of the most important lines in this chapter is simple: “Start with the Word of God, continue with the Word of God, and end with the Word of God.” That is true for every part of life. When emotions rise, opinions clash, confusion grows, or difficult seasons come, the Word of God keeps us grounded. Feelings change quickly. Circumstances shift constantly. But truth remains steady. So many people try to build relationships, families, decisions, and even ministries on emotion alone. Eventually that foundation begins to shake. But when God’s Word stays central, it brings clarity, correction, wisdom, and stability. The Bible describes the Word as water that washes and renews us. The more time we spend in it, the more it reshapes the way we think, respond, and live. This is why staying in Scripture matters so deeply. Not occasionally. Not only when things are falling apart. Daily. God’s Word does not simply inspire us. It transforms us. And often, before the Lord changes our situation, He first uses His Word to change us. If you’re reading along with us, this is from Chapter 9 of Relationship Goals inside ITC.
