Hands practice
A little late to the party for no excuse November but I am going to keep working on these classes! They came at just the right time when I wanted to get back into drawing and was the motivation I needed to just do it! Thanks @N. Colin Dyer

It's a great start! I highly recommend trying to draw bigger, though. It'll be scary and uncomfortable, but I believe in you!
Goblin
Finished my goblin drawing โ€” feedback is very welcome, Iโ€™d really appreciate it! Personally, I think it lacks some material or skin variation, which I probably shouldโ€™ve planned better in the lineart stage. The lighting didnโ€™t turn out as well as I hoped either, but overall Iโ€™m pretty happy with the result.

That's pretty awesome! I agree with Neil, but I also just think it's really cool.
Some terrible robots
I can't and also can't stand drawing machines tbh

I'm not sure who's telling you that you can't, but I think that person is incorrect! They look like fine robots to me.

Also, feel free to make a new post for your new work on different days, rather than posting on an older thread!

@Manga Temzy I understand what you're saying. Everyone's art journey is different, so take this with a grain of salt--focusing on individual style too early can be a crutch rather than a tool for developing a better understanding of what you want your art to end up as. I can see why one might consider something like the pelvis as unnecessary to creating a gesture, but the pelvis plays an extremely important part in the weight, balance, and flow of said gesture. The rhythm is lost without a means to connect the gestural lines from the ribcage to the legs. The torso and the pelvis are two of the most important elements of the figure, and subsequently, the two most important elements in a gesture. I would suggest looking up Michael Hampton's videos on gesture on YouTube for a better, more informed explanation. Second to that, one of the most important elements to learning to draw is mileage! The mechanical element of practicing each line you make hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands of times. Creating within yourself and your arms the confidence to execute the lines you're going for without needing to constantly erase and undo (which can take a drawing that would have taken you 20 minutes up to 2 to 3 hours). Drawing the center line and essentially redrawing that center line on the outside to create your cylinders is a great exercise in that. Use every element of a drawing to practice and learn, as there's always multiple facets to each challenge we participate in on this journey to create whatever crazy fun nonsense we feel like.

I think it's super cool! It's a bit on the stiff side, but you did a good job capturing the general idea. I agree with @N. Colin Dyer about the proportions, but that's a pretty simple fix given what you've got going here. Keep up the good work!
