All Green - I love Skool ๐Ÿ˜ (VIDEO & Zoomcall)
1.5 years ago I registered here at Skool and now the time has come. Today I will carry the flame with me for a year (you get this for 10 activities per day). With this post I don't just want to show you a video that we produced especially to show you what my last 12 months have been like. I will share 3 valuable thoughts with you that should inspire you to achieve a lot with Skool in the future. โžก๏ธ #01 Learn to love Skool (as a member) Many people here want to be successful as community creators. Understandable. Unfortunately, more and more people are losing the feeling that we all had at the beginning when we were new here. The feeling of being a member. Many successful community creator are no longer active in their own community. ๐Ÿ˜ณ Why? Learn to love Skool as a member, be active in other communities. That's why it was not difficult for me to carry the flame for a year. โžก๏ธ #02 Don't think about the money Just because a community costs money doesn't mean it's only worth it if you make money. If you go to a concert or spend an evening in a club, that's worth it too, right? You could have stayed at home to listen to music and dance with yourself. But you wanted to spend time with others and you even paid money for it (and didn't get any money back). Stop constantly thinking in MRR. Friendships can be formed here, collaborations can be entered into and we might even have a Skool Baby soon :-) That's worth a lot more. โžก๏ธ #03 Learn the rules like a pro.... One of my favorite quotes is: "Learn the rules like a pro and break them like an artist" (Picasso) If you're new here, take a look around and understand how it all works. Take your time and educate yourself. When I first came to Skool there were no tutorials, live call recordings, etc. But I really listened to every interview by @Sam Ovens to not only understand but also to feel what it was all about. It was only much later that I developed my own strategies, workflows and creative approaches to have even more fun and success.

Skool Features
I remember posting this wuestion a long time ago after seeing some roadmap. One thing that was really important to me was being able to do lives inside a community app. I loved how circle had that simple option, however skool Is much easier to navigate. So I started using skool. Looks like skool never got the native live or native video feature. Is there anything skool is doing that has to do with uploading media, lives and making posts look better in general? Are videos and pictures always going to be to the right?

One of the things I really wanted to see before I moved my communities over to Skool, was lives. Then when I hosted my first 5 Day Challenge on Skool early 2023 instead of FB Groups like my previous 40+, I realized that its actually so much better to just get people on Zoom vs stream it into a community. We had over 80% of of challenge attendees show up and complete the 5 days with out any of the crazy things we used to have to try and do like teams etc (I am sure you recall those days). If we were to get live streaming added it definitely has some upside for simplifying uploading video workflows. But from a show up, engagement / participation, and conversion stand point, I would rather have them live on Zoom with me during the stream not just watching passively in a community feed.
Skool's Old Homepage
Years ago this was Skool's homepage! My favourite part: "Come for the courses, stay for the community" Do you remember roughly when you joined Skool?

Love it! I hear people still reference that today but didnโ€™t know thatโ€™s where it started. I joined in May 2022

@Evelyn Weiss Sam was demo-ing it at CF HQ during a mastermind meetup and Josh Forti pulled me over to show me. My first community was a bonus for anyone who bought CF 2.0 with my link.
$200,000 on Skool in 30 days (Avoid these 2 mistakes!!)
Just hit a record month & made $200,000 USD from my free Skool community. Total ad spend: less than $5,000. Here are 2 mistakes I see 99% of people on Skool making, including many Skool games winners who I spoke with in Vegas last week. โ€ขย Mistake #1: Not having a free Skool community. Going directly from an ad/social media to a paid group looks sexy on paper, I agree. But the reality is: A free Skool community nurtures leads & gets them to convert at a rate like nothing else I've ever seen. With a free Skool community, you can nurture leads in 4 ways: 1) The DM's (auto-dm to kick things off) 2) The community feed 3) The classroom 4) The calendar All without ever coming across as salesy! โ€ข Mistake #2: Telling people to join your free Skool community. I used to tell people to "jOiN mY fReE SkOoL cOmMuNiTy!" but nobody was joining :( I thought it was an issue with Skool. But then I started doing something insane... I started leveraging human psychology and talking to people about their DREAM OUTCOMES and frustrations. I started saying stuff like: "If you want to achieve <dream outcome> in <X timeframe> without <pain/effort/frustration>, click here to download my new free training that shows you how." And then I'd link them to my free Skool community. Guess what happened? People joined by the TRUCK LOAD. Turns out, nobody gives a ๐Ÿ’ฉ about your free Skool community - until they're in it. To get them to join in the first place, you need to use bait. The best bait I've found? Free (GENUINELY HELPFUL) stuff like courses, pdf's, etc. that help people achieve their specific dream outcome in a specific time frame without a specific pain point. Hold nothing back in your free content. Give give give. Upsell the DFY/Done-With-You implementation - but give away all the DIY instructions. Growth has been insane ever since I started taking the above ๐Ÿ‘† seriously. $200,000 in 30 days!!! Hope this helps, Ted P.S. I've attended 5 Skool Games events in Las Vegas and even a lot of the top winners don't know this stuff... but once they implement it, they make even MORE money.
