Can we talk about the fear of being judged for a moment?
Because this one piece of mindset has held me back more times than I'd like to admit. I used to worry… What if other photographers think I’m doing it wrong or what if they're judging me? What if clients think my offer is silly? What if someone rolls their eyes at my content? What if other coaches judge me for coaching? A new episode just dropped on the Pet Photographers' Journal where I interviewed Heather Lahtinen and this conversation was gold. She reminded me on the podcast: Even if that happens… nothing bad actually happens. You might feel a bit uncomfortable. You breathe through it. And then, you move forward. We don’t trade time and energy for the opinions of people who will never hire us. We show up for the ones who are ready to work with us. I’d love to hear: Has fear of judgment slowed you down lately? What did you not do this week because of it? Together, let’s normalise taking action anyway. 🎧 The full episode with Heather is live now if you want to listen while editing today. Find the Pet Photographers' Journal on your preferred podcast platform or listen here

Just spent the day learning and feeling inspired
So today I spent a whole day at the Next Level Club in person intensive--the coaching program I’m part of with Laura Higgins. It was amazing. There was at least 100 people there so it was amazing to be in a room with other creative business owners, from photographers and designers to marketing agencies and coaches. The energy was next-level. There were some incredible speakers, and a panel of creatives who’ve built thriving businesses. Hearing their stories and practical insights was so motivating. One of my biggest takeaways? How to actually use LinkedIn properly, it’s a platform I’ve completely ignored until now, but I can see so much potential for creative business owners. I tried to take as much notes as I could today and I’m thinking of sharing a few of the key lessons that could really apply to us as photographers. Would you like me to post a recap of the most valuable takeaways? Drop a 🙋‍♀️ or a quick yes please! in the comments if you’d be keen.

I tried LinkedIn in again and again but the way people spin everything to talk about their business is so off putting to me. And those are the posts that are doing great on the platform... Like 'I picked apples from my apple tree today and this made me think about how you [insert business related things here]'. Feels so forced to me
Wall Art Mockup Video
So a big thank you to @Yunet Solorzano for discovering wall art mockup videos on Etsy!! I kinda went into a wormhole of trawling through these on Etsy and ended up purchasing some. Here are some I've done up using my photos. Have anyone tried using these before for their marketing? Any success?

Sales - How are you perceiving sales?
I attended a Mind Money Body Bootcamp today and wow… one of the speakers absolutely blew me away. His name is Anthony Vizzari, and he’s one of the top trainers from SWISH Sales Coaching — the same team that teaches selling with integrity, not pressure. Now I have heard him speak before back in August when I attended Dreamfest. And since that talk I had implemented what he taught then in my scripts when I call leads from giveaway or when I talk to clients at the consultation. I have found my booking rate has improved. Today, He broke down how to have powerful, emotionally intelligent sales conversations that don’t feel like selling at all. And then… he pulled me up for a live role play. 😅 Let’s just say, it was both nerve-wracking and eye-opening, he completely flipped how I think about questions, tone, and connection during client calls. I’m working on getting the recording so I can upload it into our Classroom in this community. It’ll be something you can unlock once you reach a certain level (hint: the more you engage in the community, the faster you’ll get there ). Now I’m curious, are you calling your leads? If so, how do you go with those calls? (Drop your thoughts below. I’d love to hear what’s working for you!)

@Tracy Munson I'm just curious why do you call people who you didn't pick? What do you offer them? I only call the winners or the winner and the runner ups depending on what I was doing. Leads that won't qualify go on the mailing list (if they opted in)
