@Rae Merritt I’m doing first person present too. I too find it a challenge. It seems easier for me to do it during high paced scenes, and the slower scenes I seem to accidentally slip into a more past tense, I think often because those scenes are more “reflective” — I don’t think I’m explaining that well, only that it is a challenge for me too!

A) but I am currently experiencing a bit of writers block. I have some challenges right now. I’m in the process of selling my home—and that’s not fun—and my day job is going through a major software change and I’m one of the “trainers” and by the time I have spare time, my mind is “mush”. Things will slow down soon enough and I should be able to focus better then.
