Just get it done...
After a lovely opening to my day having coffee with Mr. David Stem and co. I networked with people in my circle. Now for leisure, 12 hours later. Meeting new people is fun for me. I made a business arrangement whereby 200 video game artists are going to be informed that they have an opportunity to perform as extras in my movie shooting in February, come mid January. I may be tutoring a potential camera 2 soon in SE Asia as well. Get after it. :)

That's cool :-)
stuckish
Assuming most of you have several irons in the fire of creativity as it were, well, how do you 'pick' which one to work on for a few days? Right now I'm thinking about remastering my old movie, or relaxing, or going full bore on my current project, (the third I'm betting will win, but not sure...).

Don’t think about it too much, go after what grips you… A quote from a favorite author: I do not enjoy writing at all. If I can turn my back on an idea, out there in the dark, if I can avoid opening the door to it, I won't even reach for a pencil. But once in a while there's a great dynamite-burst of flying glass and brick and splinters through the front wall and somebody stalks over the rubble, seizes me by the throat and gently says, "I will not let you go until you set me, in words, on paper." That's how I met Illusions.
Director madness
The script has been written minus an epilogue. The leads have been cast. I'm fleshing out a storyboard/shot list. My wife is decorating one of the three location houses. This week I'm leveling a vampire. "Life of a Machinima Director" :)

I love it!
I think, I'm weird...
I'm now 53 going on 30, lol. I play video games a lot but! I have to be interactive with my media or otherwise watching non fiction or reading autobiographies. If I watch a James Cameron movie I tear it apart in my head 'how did they do that'. Now...I do enjoy and get weepy and a great docudrama etc.. But isn't it strange that I create fictional stories, whilst pursuing factual entertainment? Maybe it's just me.

It’s all connected. And who’s to say we’re not in a fictional story right now? A fictional character watching a factual documentary, illusions within illusions and although it might all be illusions, what we were experiencing and feeling is real. The emotions are real. The experience is real, but the story is fictional.
What great scene hit you like a lightning bolt?
For me, one of the first scenes I remember just blowing my mind was Al Pacino’s Opening Trial Statement in And Justice for All. He’s a lawyer blackmailed into defending a corrupt judge he hates — a man charged with a violent assault. The judge picks him because of that hate — knowing the optics will make him look innocent if his loudest critic defends him. Even decades later, that scene gets me. A man willing to burn his career — and himself — for the truth. That’s the kind of courage and madness storytelling demands. What scenes hit you like that? What moment made you realize you had to write? Drop them below — I want to see what cracked you open. 🔥

That’s a really powerful scene. When I think about stuff like that, it reminds me how much humans love drama, and a good ending. There are so many similarities when producing music or DJing. You have to create the right amount of tension and then release it. You need to understand pain and pleasure and then mix it in just the right amount of each. It’s like a chemist, putting together a new potion. Too much of this or too little of that and the whole thing blows up. But if you get it just right, it’s magic. It’s kind of like nuclear energy, you can light up the world with it or destroy it. It’s the Yin Yang. You can also pull over the same idea with cooking. The right recipe with each ingredient measured out correctly and then cooked for just the right amount of time, and you get taste bud euphoria! Understanding all these details and how to put them together is what makes an absolutely spectacular creator whether it’s a screenwriter, novelist, DJ, music producer, or chemist, or any other creator inside this world. ❤️⚡️

@David Stem …a short video on one of the most beautiful humans I have ever known, my mom. She had a very special skill. She knew how to bring people that would ordinarily never meet each other or understand how we are all one, together ❤️
