YAYY!!! I am soo happy that I started Our Journey with @Daniel Costa and my 3 day quest at the same time!! I am also sooo glad that @Ruth aka Grace Rose @Emma Fábryová @Hamza Glam @Madiel Brown and manny others are also finding their accountability companion How is everyone's language progress going? If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.” Nelson Mandela 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐍𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐭 The worst way to practice your language learning is by making it structures instead of that you should try to interleave here's why: Lets just imagine 2 baseball team A & B - A practices 1 thing for a while and B practices A mix of curveballs and fast balls. In games B outperforms A all the time Blocked practice creates fast short term practice but weak discrimination skills Mixed practice forces the players to recognise the pitch type and adjust just like in real games Interleaving provides lots of different benefits: Involving mixing different topics in a study session or types of problems which forces the brain to continually retrieve different solution strategies which build the ability to discriminate between the different types of words or sentences Ir creates flexibility in applying knowledge to new situations and we can recognise when to apply different approaches in the real world Instead of practicing AAAA we practice CABD That constant switching feels harder at first but develops your ability to approach a new problem with what you will really need What do you think of that?
