Good day! I've used Studio One for years and would be willing g to help. It is a great DAW
how do i fix this horrible beat?
i won't say its HORRIBLE, the chords are catchy. none of the melodies are premade, i did everything myself, including writing the chords. i like to write my own chords because it feels more authentic to me :) HOWEVER, that doesn't mean its without issues. the beat is kinda mid :/ its boring. way way too boring. i want something upbeat and catchy that some upbeat, high energy artist like jung kook or five seconds of summer could unleash his vocals on and blast on the stage, which gets everyone going. i think it has potential to become a crowd banger. BUT i want to figure out how to get there. the beat is semi-mixed, i just did some basic gain staging and eq-ing to get everything to stand out. it's all kind of boring and not high-energy the way i want it to be. usually to add to the music and make it LESS boring, i add some counter-synths to add to the main mix, but i've had a habit of just copying the basic chords down and using that, which just makes the mix feel muddier. so my main questions. how do i make this sound BETTER? more exciting, get it to its potential? and how can i mix this better to get it to hit way harder and clearer? worst of all, does it have potential? or am i just delusional? i'm a completely new producer btw, i barely have any experience. maybe like a month's worth. i've been using FL for a few years, but majority of those years were just messing around, trying to learn it. NOW i've gotten serious about music

@Albany Harrison Good morning. Listening on a Google pixel 8 pro. I don't find it boring at all. The keyboard sound and the chord progression, to me, sets up a sort of chill mid-tempo vibe. If exciting banger is what you're looking for I don't think the chord progression and tempo make that happen. But the mix translates well on to my phone and the arrangement is interesting. Maybe what you composed was not a clubhouse banger but a chilled mid set vibe. I liked it

@Nolan Wedewer Good morning. Listening on a Google pixel 8 pro. My favorite part was how the underlying drum parts changed and evolved through out the arrangement. There were moments when I thought some of the sounds that were echoing around the main melody we're getting lost. But maybe you meant them to sort of go in and out like that. Well done sir

@Reinfried Bartholomaeus Good morning. Listening on a Google Pixel 8 pro. The mixed translates very well. It's very impressed with how the arrangement is always moving and always doing something. I liked how you didn't sit on one musical idea for too long. It kept it engaging.
