Repurpose and Recycle 2026
Next year, there is also the recycle and repurpose monthly challenge. Where each month, members who want to join in on this repurpose challenge. From what I see, we have two members, @Alisha Hobart and @Kayleen West, and I am sure many more who would like to take part. @Lorna Abrahams I believe likes to recycle too, yes? I will be running the vlogging creators, so it will be up to you, the members, to get this rolling. I think it's an awesome idea, thanks, Alisha. Those who sign up for the monthly repurpose and recycle will receive this card as a way of saying thank you for your contribution. By creating mini events, challenges and vlogs, we can keep making this space a productive, educational, and fun community for all. Please let us all know if you would like to take part in this starting in 2026?

Growing avacados
Hi all, I'm in Perth getting conflicting information on growing avacados. Planting In the ground: Some say Dig a big hole add good quality potting mix then plant it in the ground. Others say don't plant them in groung with organic matter use sand well draining soil. Other say use decomposed granite (DG) this is not here in australia one man said in australia we call this cracker dust but that's not true either? Planting In Pots Some say leave it in a pot for a year or 2 for the tree to mature. Sounds like good advice. Then some say use good quality potting mix with sand and perlite. But then i hear the perlite floats to the top when watering. Others say use only sand then fertilizer from the top. Some say use wood chips for potting mix. So I'm really confused here as I've just bought 3 avacado trees a sharwel, a Lamb Gass, and a fuerte and I want the to have the best start. Any advise appreciated Thanks Joe
