Glad you're here. I'm Kevin, an ultrarunner & triathlete (Leadville 100 was my most fun race). I'm not a tech guru. I got curious about AI, realized I could build training tools tailored exactly to me from my own data, and it actually worked. Now I want to teach you to do the same and connect with people building cool things in fitness with AI. That's the whole idea: learn something genuinely interesting, build stuff that's truly yours, and do it alongside like-minded people. Zero coding required. Four steps to start: 1. Watch Start Here course (top of the Classroom). Two minutes. 2. Do Day 0 in the 7-Day Challenge: Set Up Your Workshop. 3. Post in Wins as you finish each day, tagged (#Day0Ready). We celebrate every one. 4. Introduce yourself in the feed. Something like: "Hi, I'm Steve, I run trail ultras and can't wait to build with AI!" The setup day is the hardest part, and we get everyone through it. Stuck? Post what you tried and someone (often me) will get you unstuck. Let's build. Follow the road to The Rut.

New Claude Skill: Coach Clone
@Edgar Higham - following up from our conversation last night, I took a stab at putting together a Claude skill that turns YOUR real training philosophy into a Claude skill you hand to your athletes. They talk to it, it answers the way you'd answer. Two ways to build it: 1)it pulls your actual words from your content (grabs the real transcripts off your YouTube, plus your newsletter, blog, etc), or 2) it walks you through a questionnaire, or both. I tried to emphasize the parts where a coaches input would be invaluable: Athlete says "sharp knee pain but my race is in 3 weeks, push through?" - it stops and tells them to text you. Injury, anything medical, changing the goal race - all routes back to the coach. It scales your voice, it doesn't practice medicine in your name nor does it alter plans without your approval. This skill itself is actually meant to output a unique skill to each coach. So give it a shot and let me know your thoughts. New Claude Skill - Race Predictor!
I’ve been playing around with enhancing the research my race skill we built during the 7 Day Challenge and I think I came up with something clever: https://www.skool.com/athlete-ai-community/classroom/c89bd042?md=3709da81c51247e7aee42441fd3dca6d This new Claude skill does everything our research my race skill does but then takes it a step further and actually gives you a real race prediction based on your training data and the course. It gives you back a pretty html card so you can view the response easily (prob could build this into a dashboard for yourself or athletes you coach and just have it auto update as training data come in). Let me know everyone’s thoughts! And yes currently working on upping my training to not DNF The Rut lol. Kevin

Completed Day 1 - Moving on to plan
I am utilizing the setup a bit differently. I have a human coach. The goal is not for the AI to replace my coach. While I would still like the setup to build a plan, the main intent is for the AI to enhance what my coach is giving me, analyze my performance, and cross-check her prescriptions. I'd like the AI to verify the volume, intensity, and progression, as well as provide recommendations for optimizing my training and performance. With that, should I still create the plan as outlined on Day 2? If not, what modifications should I make or what other skills should I consider?

Yes, this is a great use case! You can use your Athlete OS in tandem with your current coach. When you get to the part of creating your athlete profile and coming up with your coaching structure this is a great opportunity to point Claude at your coaches content / style. That way when you communicate with your Athlete OS and structure your workouts, it’s grounded in your actual coach’s philosophy. Then the rest of the modules can be the same. Does your coach have public content, blog posts, newsletters or publications that you can point Claude at? I was actually planning on making a skill for coaches to build their own “coach skill”. So they can give it to their athletes. Was going to drop it this weekend, but could move it up if you think worth it?

@Edgar Higham this is actually something another coach and I were talking about today. I’m going to put some work into it this weekend to come up with a solve for benchmarking planned vs completed (have a couple ideas, but want to test before dropping in community). Will move the skill work up to tomorrow! If it’s okay with you, maybe I use your coaching profile as a test case (can anonymize for insta content if you want)? What forms of published public content do you have? If nothing public, how would you describe your coaching philosophy?
New Claude Skill - Build Like the Pros
@Dave Battinieri - took a bit longer then anticipated to get it right, but finally got something dialed in! Built a skill that writes you a bodybuilding plan where every muscle group is trained in the actual style of a world-class pro. I ran their real training videos through Claude and built each guy's profile from their own words: how they actually train that body part, their signature moves, rep schemes, and the cues they coach. The default dream-team, straight from your thread: - Shoulders - Mike Thurston - Chest - Chris Bumstead - Back - Simeon Panda - Waist - Ryan Terry - Conditioning - Jesse James West + Seth Feroce Best part - it's fully self-contained. Copy it, paste it into Claude, tell it your goal and days per week, and it writes your week. No coding, no plugins, nothing to install. Want different guys? Just swap them in.
