Mateja explained that SEO should not just be viewed technically, but rather as a way to generate traffic and leads. He recommends including conversion rate optimization as part of your SEO service, so you can show tangible business results like a certain number of leads per month. This makes it easier to tie your service to business outcomes. What should you do if the traffic converts poorly? Chris asked what to do if the SEO traffic converts poorly. Mateja said having good conversion-optimized pages will help pre-sell visitors so they are more likely to convert when they arrive from SEO. Offering services to help close the leads can also help address poor conversion of SEO traffic. ----------------------------------------------------- Using AI for Content ------------------------------------------------------ Does AI content still work for SEO after recent updates? Mateja shared data showing that AI content does still work if it is good quality. He has transitioned to using AI tools like Surfer to generate initial content drafts, then editing them before publishing. Lower quality AI content without editing is more likely to get deindexed. How much AI content have you published on ranking sites? On his client sites that rank well with AI content, Mateja typically publishes 3-5 new pages/articles per month. Some sites have 20-50 AI articles total now after several months of publishing.
