A pleasant evening at Sunflow Coliving
Coliving is a term you often see in Facebook rental groups, but let’s talk about what it really means and how genuine shared living differs from the efforts of some digital nomads and travellers who simply want to save on their expenses. Quality coliving is not just about renting a room. It is mainly about community, mutual respect, unforgettable moments spent together and real support among the people who live there. In a well managed coliving space you are not paying a higher price only for a nice place to live but above all for the social and informational benefits that come with it. When you live in a coliving environment you should feel that the community manager is fully dedicated to you, preparing fun activities, sharing information about the city, giving tips for trips and experiences and, as a bonus, organising language exchanges, morning yoga, encouraging you to go for a run or join a hike. They also connect you with other housmates and motivate you to go for tapas together or cook something in the shared kitchen so you can get to know each other better. So next time you see pretty photos tagged as coliving, ask about the most important thing, the community benefits, and expect more in that regard. I'm grateful that something like this is taking shape in Málaga through Sunflow Coliving, and even more grateful that I can be part of it. I really enjoyed our cozy language exchange yesterday. What are your experiences with colivings around the world? Have you ever been part of something similar where you felt welcomed and truly comfortable?
