New Release - Ads?
Last week I released a new book in a new series (contemporary western romance set on a horse stud/breeding farm). I have a preorder in the back for the next book which is coming out in October or November. I know that the general advice is not to do ads on a single book because you need the read through to actually make money. I fear that if I don't do any advertising this release will just be as stagnant as the eight books before it. (I have another series which is stand alone books, no recurring characters or places, the only commonality is it is set in Australia.) Does that advice about not advertising if you only have a single book in a series still stand?

@Malorie Cooper thank you.
Reader Magnet - Wattpad
Good morning all from Australia, Mal mentioned in one of her videos that one way our reader magnets could get out there to a new audience is through Wattpad. I was wondering if anyone has tried this tactic and how they found it. Thanks

@Claire Harris thanks. I wouldn't be putting a chapter at a time out there either. They are very unrefined in the beginning. By the time it would be ready to post, it would be close to publishing day.
Happy Friday!!
So, for a lot of folks, it's been a hard week! I want to encourage you to take some time to do something nice for yourself this weekend! Share in the comments one small thing (even if it's just enjoying a yummy treat) that you will do for yourself this weekend to be nice to yourself. Also, let's hear your wins for the week! What were your successes?

How far can I push the adult content on a facebook video ad?
Hello all you publishers of more mature content. Usually, I make my ads PG-13, even if the books can be a bit violent and explicit. In this case, the books I’m advertising are dark fantasy and have more mature content. There’s graphic violence, but also some racy sex scenes. Not erotica, but definitely not fading to black either. I’ve created a new book trailer I’d like to try out, but I have one scene I’d like to replace with a racier version. There’s no nudity, but there is definitely more skin, which I think would fit the mood better and definitely do better with men, who are my typical customers. I’ve created a video with a slightly tamer scene where a couple embrace and kiss. But I’ve also attached a screenshot of the scene I’d like to swap out. So, long story, my question is what can I get away with on facebook and Instagram? Will the racier version get me slapped or something, or is okay compared to what others are advertising. Inquiring minds (me) want to know.

That's a pretty cool trailer. To be honest, I think what you have in there is pretty good. It's only short. But I'm not a man. Sorry, I know that doesn't really answer your question.
Prequel Question
I am writing a prequel for my series. The first book in the series is a marriage in trouble trope. It is 22 years after the prequel. The prequel follows the couple's first three days where they fall in love and become engaged. It will be used as a reader magnet and as bonus content. At the moment I'm calling it Back in the Saddle Prequel. This makes sense to me. But should I give it its own name? I'm a little lost because I've never written a prequel before. Normally I just have a bonus epilogue. Thanks.
