6 years ago my first mentor made this video for me that completely transformed my life. Without this harsh advice I might still be broke. Check it out:

Damn, what a video, helpful to see you were grinding 6 years ago, gives you a bit of perspective on the time invested

Hey Kirby, Been an wild ride since you first put out that "Start then learn" video. Right now: Closing high ticket for a group coaching program, about to cross 1 million in revenue since late May. Been great for learning and putting aside some cash. Next goal: Get clarity on own content plan / my next business I want to build a scalable educational product to 1-2M+ Haven't been able to decide between sales/persuasion or language learning. When you put out that guitar teacher tweet I was kinda shocked and it made me curious if I could do something similar with German or Chinese. Would appreciate any exercises for finding clarity.

Making money as a beginner
For beginners, it's hard to grow an audience. Meaning you can invest thousands of hours into creating content, only for a few years to go by and nothing has paid off. SMMA, appointment setting, and dropshipping are saturated and soul-draining. Areas I see opportunity for beginners: 1. Help an entrepreneur grow their audience (like what I did with Rian, and what Jamie is doing) 2. Help an influencer monetize their audience (like I did with Hamza) 3. Help a subject matter expert make money through content and monetize 4. Start a free community, then monetize (like Zain is doing) Thoughts?

Re 1 & 2 Ghostwriting is a pretty smooth on ramp for a lot of people. Not much of a learning curve, really only one skill to learn Also, closing calls for an entrepreneur/creator you want to learn from can be a good learning experience

@Uzair Khan I can't tell you what's best for you, but I can tell you what's worst for you: Not deciding What I would tell my old self: 1. Pick one 2. Make a 30 day action + learning plan 3. Execute and reflect But if you want to make money within 90 days, I've found high ticket closing to be the easiest way to scale to 8-10k/mo (I've tried, freelance writing, agency model, digital products too) Just my experience. If you're interested in Sales check out: https://www.skool.com/persuasion-academy (not affiliated, just a great group) If you're interested in writing check out: https://premiumghostwritingblueprint.com/ (the company I close for, world class program) Crush it man

But I would say, with closing, it's really dependent on what company you work for, closing for a good company is great, but if they put you on a fluke offer, you might be dealing with inconsistent marketing or weak fulfillment (never happened to me but our other closer told me some nightmare stories about his past roles)

Just Launched my first courses, now what?
I have been building my YouTube channel for nearly 8 years now and have reached a subscriber count of 280,000 with over 30 million views. I teach home improvement with a huge emphasis on Drywall so I started courses on a website I called the Drywall Academy. It’s at www.drywallacademy.com if you want to check it out. I said it up with a free level and then a bronze, silver and gold level and will provide more advanced training at the higher levels. I currently have it set up as a membership but I’m going to make most of the courses available for a one time purchase also. For several years I have been building an email list and I have close to 2000 people in that list. I also gave away a free e-book on my Drywall Academy and so far I have around 300 people on that email list. Now I’m in the process of learning how to build the course out to properly solve my viewers problems and give them the education they want. The second huge challenge is how to properly market the course and get the word out. I am just now learning that and feel I have a long ways to go. If anyone has any advice on articles or videos to help me in that direction, it would be appreciated. I also released an e-book and paper book on Amazon about understanding and choosing the proper drywall tools and materials so I also have to market that and promote it. Thank you. Guy Purcella

Something our company does that tripled our run rate in the first year (1-3M), is promote our educational products with Education email courses like this one: https://premiumghostwritingblueprint.com/ What could you create one for in your niche?
