Would this be a helpful resource for your work in the classroom?
Would you like to join in community to share your questions and needs in working with your students with learning and behavior challenges? Being together, supporting one another, learning from one another can give us more than solutions, it can bring a sense of belonging. Comment here if you'd like to join a weekly live virtual session as we support one another as we work to support our students with a wide range of needs in learning and behaviors. (As a Montessori/special education with the lived experience, I'm happy to facilitate)

The Responsive Classroom: Montessori for ALL
The Responsive Classroom: Montessori for ALL. Our repeat podcast is Monday evening, eastern US, 7:00-8:15 pm. Even if you joined the first time, you are welcome to join us again. The special offer for those who register for the webcast is amazing. Our 6 week course of self-paced videos for each module with a live session to engage with your community of educators who want to learn how we can truly serve and support all students in Montessori (at every level) and reduce our stress, our feelings of "burn-out" and our work load at the same time! I'm looking forward to see you all soon.

I'd love to hear your feedback- what resonated? Are you ready to learn more? As a "responsive educator" myself, any and all comments and sharing is always so valuable.

I've actually worked in 3 public school environments (charter and 1 blended Montessori + traditional. The course will be relevant to both private and public, and large and small schools. Really the only difference is that public schools are required by law to have a special education dept. But you can absolutely create an inclusion classroom using the social model. About 5 years ago, I created a Montessori-based System of Support with all the forms, and such that would be needed.
Welcome Paradigm Breakers- Tell us about yourself!
If you're here, you're probably tired of the traditional system and are ready to question what everyone else takes for granted. This is where we build the coalition of educators who refuse to accept "that's just how education works." Let's start with introductions that matter: Your Education Origin Story Tell us: - What moment made you realize something fundamental was wrong with traditional education? - When did you first catch a glimpse of what education could be when it truly serves human development? - What unspoken norm in education drives you absolutely crazy? - What transformation are you hoping to create in your classroom, school, or community? What I hope this community becomes: A coalition of paradigm breakers who co-create the tools, frameworks, and courage needed to prove that transformational education isn't just possible—it's inevitable when enough of us work together. Drop your story below! We're not just chatting online- we're building a movement. And every movement starts with brave individuals willing to share their truth and vision for something better. Let's revolutionize education together! Feel free to add new topics, ask questions, share resources, celebrations, and areas for growth. This is OUR platform for the dialogues that will break the paradigm!

Hello- it's wonderful to join a group of fellow innovators! My entire adult life, I've taught and advocated for students who learn and often behave outside of the "norms" that were once considered "typical. So much of this work is about the adult mindset- families and educators. It's about guiding a very basic change in beliefs that impact our behaviors with children. It's absolutely about guiding and teaching educators as they grow to understand the many ways they can serve and support, as Dr. Montessori tells, most all children and adolescents in our classrooms. Being together in community is a gift as we all work to "break the paradigm" of too many schools and settings.

@Jennifer Payne This so resonates with me. I visit "montessori" schools where teachers are controlling children, forces lessons the children aren't interested in. There is nothing developmentally about these classrooms and it is truly heartbreaking- to see montessori being so misinterpreted and to see the spark already gone from even very young children.
Are you meeting the needs of ALL of your learners?
Hey Paradigm Breakers, We’re doing something we've never done before. On October 25th and November 3rd, Developing Education and Breaking the Paradigm are hosting a free webinar with Christine Lowry on making Montessori truly inclusive for ALL children- right here in our Paradigm Breakers Collective! And here's the really unique part: we’re giving away something massive to live attendees- more than we’ve ever given away before. Why? Because we’re building a coalition of educators who refuse to say "Montessori doesn't work for some kids." And I need this community—YOU—to help me spread this. On October 31st, we're also dropping the second edition of Provocations. The theme is "Beyond the Two-Dimensional Student: Humanizing Data in Education." This magazine raises the bar from our first edition. Revolutionary thinkers. Builder-practitioners. Zero corporate influence. Just paradigm-breaking ideas. If you’re so inclined: 1. Register for the webinar (link below) 2. Share it with your networks (it’s free!) 3. Get ready for Provocations on 10/31 You're the coalition builders. Let's capture lightning in a bottle together. Webinar Registration: https://forms.gle/zALBes8xgV4QJjez7 You'll also see the webinar in the calendar of our community. And in the meantime, I would love to hear from you- how do you meet the needs of neurodivergent learners in your prepared environments? What would you like to see/learn about in this interactive webinar?

And adding to Andrew's question- how do you understand neurodiversity and how does it fit with your beliefs about Montessori and your role as a Montessori educator?
