Heart of God by Zack Williams. Gives me chills every time. Also Left it in the River by Jamie MacDonald. It’s so motivating!!! Oh! And The Truth by Megan Woods. I could go on and on but look these up if you’ve never heard them!
✨ St. Nicholas & Christlike Generosity
The story of St. Nicholas reminds us that generosity is more than giving gifts—it’s reflecting the heart of Christ. His kindness, compassion, and quiet acts of blessing pointed people to Jesus long before Christmas gift-giving became a tradition. In this season, may we be inspired to: ✨ Give with love ✨ Serve without expecting anything in return ✨ Bless others the way Christ has blessed us True generosity isn’t about the size of the gift, but the love behind it.

My Mom always taught us you give to give without any expectation and she would always give gifts anonymously (signed Santa at Christmas and left at the door for 25 of our neighbors every year and thy were usually something handmade or home baked). I’m excited to continue the tradition. I hand painted personalized Christmas ornaments for all of my coworkers and am going to sneak them into the office and put them at their desks tomorrow for them to discover on Monday morning. They will all be signed from Santa in true Genevieve fashion. To see people smile from just being considered is one of the biggest blessings to me.
🙌 The Ten Lepers & Gratitude
The story of the ten lepers in Luke 17 is a powerful reminder of how important gratitude truly is. Ten were healed — but only one returned to thank Jesus. Here’s what this teaches us today: 1. Blessings are easy to receive, but gratitude is a choice. Many experience God’s goodness, but few pause to acknowledge Him. 2. A thankful heart stands out. The one who returned was noticed, honored, and remembered. 3. Gratitude brings us closer to God. The leper didn’t just receive healing — he received a deeper connection through his thankfulness. 4. Gratitude shifts our perspective. It helps us see not just what we have, but the One who provides. 5. Thanksgiving is an act of worship. When we give thanks, we give God glory. Let’s be like the one who returned — choosing gratitude, acknowledging God’s goodness, and keeping a thankful heart every day. 💛 What’s one thing you’re grateful for today?

I’ve lately been going through my past and thinking of things that I didn’t realize in the moment were blessings because I hadn’t yet found Jesus. I see the experiences in a different light now and I am finding blessings where I initially only saw struggle or just gave myself credit for being “independent” or “strong”. I am thanking God for being there even when I wasn’t acknowledging that it was Him bringing me through those times or giving me strength, the ability to be independent, or courage. It has truly been an eye opener.

I look forward to reading everyone’s favorites. I’m new to reading the Bible so I’m at a loss.
🤝 Handling Family Tension With Grace
Family gatherings can be beautiful — but they can also bring tension, misunderstandings, and old emotional triggers. Here’s how to navigate those moments with grace: 1. Pause before reacting. A deep breath can prevent a spiral of unnecessary conflict. 2. Set gentle boundaries. You can protect your peace without being unkind. It’s okay to step away or redirect conversations. 3. Choose empathy over assumptions. Sometimes people act out of stress, hurt, or fear. Try seeing the heart behind the behavior. 4. Don’t take everything personally. Family history sometimes magnifies emotions. Give space instead of absorbing the tension. 5. Lead with kindness. A soft answer, a calm tone, or a caring gesture can shift the atmosphere. Holiday gatherings aren’t always perfect — but with intention and grace, they can become moments of healing rather than conflict. 💛 How do you keep peace during family gatherings?

I’ll be honest. I struggle with this all year round with my mother in law. I love her but she can really make me angry with guilt trips that she lays on everyone. It is completely opposite of how my parents were but they’ve passed. I try so hard to be patient and keep quiet but as soon as I get myself back to seeing all the good in her she will repeat behaviors. It is definitely an area that I need to work on. And pray about obviously.

I was born and raised Catholic but never really understood faith. I just recently found Jesus and my whole life has changed. I’m so excited!
