Attention grabber
Can an attention grabber be a question you ask in the beginning and answers in the end? Or should I answer it just after? Also thinking of a groupexcercise where they try to answer the question together in max 5 minutes in any way they want. The question is in a form of three statements and has connections to my topic.

@Andreas Säterås how long do you think you need to hold the answer before you are losing them (swiped away) if want to hold tell them when your going to tell them. And maybe you can say write your answer and in the end compare your answer when you tols some story’s did they change the answer or guess it right and raise of hand?

@Andreas Säterås I don't know how much work that is. What I wouldn't do is have one group and not a few. If you want to do it, be honest, I've never done it this way and don't know how to create groups in Teams/zoom. In David's webinar, we were divided into groups once. Maybe someone from their team can give advice or tips on how that works?

Welcome 🙏
We just need to put one foot in front of the other.
#How To Avoid Death By PowerPoint This video was how I was first introduced to David. I love it, have watched a few times. Firstly, I aspire to have that level of confidence when simply speaking to a room who are focused on you. Second, the content was something I was immediately able to take away and begin to work on to improve the content of my presentations. At this point I knew that I could achieve the first goal, you just need to take one step at a time and love what you do.

The music was a success. At the moment my students came in with the words this is nice when I turned off the music everyone was quiet and I could start. Finish the sentence I gave it a twist. The beginning was a first sentence of a children's game that everyone knows in the Netherlands. the twist I gave it was exactly what it had to be for the subject. The lottery was also an assumption that everyone made. I had everyone make a name tag which is normal that it is placed in front of you. I picked up the papers and folded those little packages and then put them in a box. when I wanted to someone has to answer a question I picked up a card read out the name. the pauses I still have to work on. for me still too many filler sounds huhhhhhuhh I could have used more gestures but for now its a good start.

For my exam i changed and tried a few things. i took out music. But a kept finish the sentence lottery pauses (no filler sounds) useful gestures i added top-secret box think-pair-share storytelling history it's great that i was able to use a few tools and test them myself with my exam. the final result i passed. The feedback I got was that it was very creative and active, among other things. That was also the focus I had, I didn't want to be swiped away in 8 seconds.😅
