Hi Mychela, There’s really no defined number of screens you need for your show! Some performers use the same screen for multiple songs, some having 3 they just rotate around during their show, while others have a different screen for each song. You can also have a simple, generic background screen to use while you're talking between songs! It all comes down to what works best for your show and your budget. Some people decide to use custom visuals for individual songs that really add to the overall experience and make your performance even more immersive. But it doesn’t need to break the bank- It can be as simple as going on Canva or even CapCut to get moving screens, but there’s obviously a big quality difference when you get them designed!

Nope, they don’t have to match! You can even play with adding new songs in your sets if you feel that they work better for the theme of your show or you just want to try new things! You just wouldn’t be able to change your show entirely because that is what the bookers booked you for :)

@Brian Rodgers Hi Brian, I just confirmed with the agent I recruit for, who also happens to be a magician! He said that Carnival is the only cruise line that doesn't allow the use of that due to a new policy they recently rolled out prohibiting external tech sourcing! On Norwegian last week he used SoloPro without any issues, so you should be all good! I would just have a contingency plan in place for the occasional Carnival gig (or if other lines decided to roll this out) where you wouldn't be able to use it! Also, keep in mind that on Carnival you only need one 45-minute show, performed at 7:00 PM & 9:00 PM. It's pretty rare for them to request a second show. Because you won't be able to rely on QLab or SoloPro for them, I'd recommend using the show that's the simplest to run and requires the least amount of technical maintenance or cueing. That way, if you do end up on a Carnival ship, you'll have a version that's easy to execute without those tools :)
